Startup consultants · CRM

Keep every founder, call and promise in one place you actually open.

A CRM for a startup consultant is one record of every founder who enquired, what they asked, what they are waiting for and when you next speak. GullySales sets up a simple CRM around your engagement stages and the way you actually work with founders.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What CRM means

A CRM is the record where every enquiry, call and quote is kept against a customer, replacing separate notebooks, spreadsheets and memory. GullySales sets up or cleans an existing CRM and reports from it by enquiry outcome rather than by activity logged.

For startup consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Enquiries live in three phones”

Calls land on the consultant's mobile, a colleague's WhatsApp and an email inbox. A founder who asked about recognition last month is remembered by one person, and only if that person is in the office.

  • “Founders wait on events, not on you”

A founder says they will return after the pitch or the first order. A CRM that holds the event they are waiting on lets you reach them at the right moment, not on a random day.

  • “Stages differ from a product sale”

Your pipeline runs from first call to proposal, to paid, to a long relationship with a founder who returns at each new stage. The CRM must show repeat work as well as new enquiries.

  • “A big CRM goes unused”

A tool with forty fields is skipped in a busy week. Begin with the handful of details you need to follow up well, and add a field only when someone asks for it.

What we do

What we deliver for startup consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Pipeline stages named in your words

Enquiry, first call done, proposal sent, paid, in progress and returning, set up to match how your practice runs.

Result: Anyone on your team can see where a founder stands.

  2. A short record for each founder

Name, stage, what they asked, the event they wait on, the next date and who owns the follow-up.

Result: A founder's history is readable in a glance.

  3. Source tracking on every enquiry

A field recording whether the founder came from search, an incubator, a CA, a post or a friend.

Result: You can see which source brings paying founders.

  4. A task list for the day

Calls to make and messages to send today, drawn from the next-date field in each record.

Result: You open one list and know what to do.

  5. Import of existing contacts

Founders from your phone, spreadsheets and inbox brought into the CRM and checked for duplicates.

Result: Past founders are findable when they return.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries logged in the CRM
  • Data completeness
  • Reports generated from CRM data

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the CRM work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Map the sales process

We record how a deal actually moves from enquiry to close in your business today.

  2. 2

    Configure stages and fields

The CRM's pipeline and fields are built to match that process exactly, not a generic template.

  3. 3

    Set up automations

Reminders, assignment rules and follow-up triggers are configured so routine steps happen without manual effort.

  4. 4

    Test with real deals

We run the configuration against actual current deals to catch gaps before the whole team relies on it.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Which CRM should I use?
One your team will open daily. A simple tool in ordinary use in India suits a small practice better than a larger system. GullySales sets up and teaches the one that fits your size and budget.
Is founder data safe in a CRM?
Founders share business plans and ownership details, so treat them as private. Choose a tool with proper access controls, limit who can see records, and check the vendor's current terms on data.
Will my team actually use it?
If the record is short and the daily task list is useful, yes. If it feels like extra typing, it will be skipped. We start small and add only what your team asks for.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
