Virtual CFO services · Social media

Let founders watch you explain a balance sheet before they hire you to read theirs.

Social media for a virtual CFO practice is the partner's visible habit of explaining finance in plain terms where founders already spend time. GullySales works on the profile, the subjects worth posting about and the way a reply becomes a conversation.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For virtual CFO services

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “LinkedIn is where the founder judges the partner”

Before a first call, a founder opens the partner's profile. A profile that lists qualifications and nothing else says little. One that shows how the partner explains cash, margins and investor questions says a good deal.

  • “Posts about finance fail when they are about finance”

A post on ratios gets polite approval from other accountants and no calls from founders. A post on why a profitable company ran out of cash in a festive season reaches the reader who has felt that.

  • “Confidence limits what you may show”

Client work stays private, so posts built on real engagements risk a breach. Posts built on invented companies, marked as examples, and on questions you hear in general terms keep the partner credible and the clients safe.

  • “The comment section is the lead source”

A founder who writes under a post that their bank is asking for projections has just described a trigger. A reply that answers the question and offers a sample report does more than another post.

What we do

What we deliver for virtual CFO services.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A profile edited for founders

A headline, summary and featured section naming the companies you serve and the problems you handle, with the sample reports linked.

Result: A profile that answers what you do before anyone asks.

  2. A bank of post subjects from real questions

Subjects taken from the questions founders ask on calls, such as why cash is short in a profitable year, rewritten without client detail.

Result: A list of subjects the partner can write from without a client's consent.

  3. Example-based posts with dummy figures

Short posts that walk through a cash forecast or a profit-by-product sheet with invented numbers, marked as examples.

Result: Posts that teach something and give away nothing private.

  4. A reply routine for comments and messages

A written way of answering a founder who comments or writes in, ending in a conversation and a record of it.

Result: Each reply leads to a next step.

  5. Introduction posts for referrers

A note for chartered accountants and bankers on what you take on, shareable in their own networks.

Result: A post a referrer can pass on without changing it.

  6. A check on professional advertising rules

A point for your partner to confirm with their own council or adviser before posts go out, since advertising rules differ by profession and change.

Result: Each post approved by the partner first.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should the practice have a company page as well as the partner's profile?
The partner's profile carries the trust, so work there first. A company page is useful for hiring and for a place to point referrers, but it is rarely where a founder decides.
How do we post without revealing a client?
Build posts from invented companies and general questions, mark examples as examples, and describe a real client only with their written agreement.
Does GullySales run the posting?
We write and plan with the partner, because founders respond to the partner's own voice. Nothing is promised about followers or enquiries; we show what the record says.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
