Branding and graphic design studios · Lead generation

Get the brief and the budget before you get to the quote.

Lead generation for a design studio means enquiries from founders who have a project, a date and money set aside, and knowing that before any concept is drawn. GullySales sets up how enquiries arrive and are answered, and replaces free concepts with a paid first stage.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For branding and graphic design studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquiry is a late-night message asking for a rate”

Reply with three questions about the business and the launch date.

  • “The printer who referred them is never recorded”

Nobody notes who sent the project, so the partner is never thanked.

  • “Asking for free concepts is the qualifying question”

A founder who pays for a small discovery stage is a client. The other never was.

What we do

What we deliver for branding and graphic design studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A first reply that asks three questions

A saved reply for the message asking your rate, asking what the business is, when it opens, and what has already been decided.

Result: A price question turns into a conversation about the project.

  2. A paid discovery stage in place of free concepts

A small first stage covering the business questions and two directions, priced and written into the proposal, offered whenever somebody asks for sample logos.

Result: Sketches stop leaving the studio unpaid.

  3. A referral record for architects, printers and interior designers

Who sent which enquiry, logged the moment it arrives, with a note to thank them and a portfolio pack they can forward to the next founder who asks.

Result: The partners who feed you get fed back.

  4. A starting range published on the site

A range for each project type with what it covers and what it does not, so the fee conversation begins before the first call.

Result: The gig-site buyer filters themselves out.

  5. A same-day answering routine

Who checks the Instagram inbox, the website form and the studio phone, by when, and what they say on the days you are too full to take it on.

Result: The founder who messaged three studios hears from you first.

  6. Every enquiry tagged to its source

Referral, search, Instagram or a past client recorded against each enquiry and each signed project, reported against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You stop guessing which effort filled the year.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The places a branding enquiry reaches a design studio, and what to record at each.

An Instagram or LinkedIn direct message
Record the business, the stage it is at and how the person found you. Reply with the three questions you always ask rather than a price.
An email from the website form
Check the form asks for the business name, the launch date and the budget range. Reply with a proposed call and a link to one project of a similar kind.
A referral from a past client
Write down who referred and what work you did for them. Thank the client and invite the new person to a call, noting if the referrer will be a reference.
A referral from a printer, photographer or web developer
Note the professional and the project. Keep a list of those who send work, and tell them when you have a space, since they are asked often.
A portfolio platform enquiry on Behance or Dribbble
Record which project led to the message. Ask what the business is before sharing a price, and note the platform in the source column.
An old client coming back for a new product
Link the new request to the earlier project and its files. Check what changed in the business, and quote from the previous scope as the starting point.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the lead generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Why us

Why a studio brings us in for its own pipeline.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

We work the part after the enquiry as well: the reply, the follow-up, the proposal and the CRM your own pipeline runs on.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we put a starting price on the website?
Yes, as a range with what it covers. It filters out the gig-site buyer.
How fast should we answer an Instagram enquiry?
The same working day. A founder who messaged three studios hires whoever asks about the business first.
How do we handle someone who asks for a logo and cannot say what the business does?
Ask the three questions in writing: what the business is, what it sells and who it sells to. If they cannot answer, offer a paid discovery stage. The answers are what the design depends on, and an unclear brief produces endless revisions.
Should we pay a commission to people who refer clients?
Many studios do not, and give a thank-you and priority instead. If you do pay, agree the rule in writing before the first referral and apply it to everyone. Check that the client knows a fee is involved.
How do we justify our fee against cheap online logos?
Show what the fee buys beyond the file. A cheap logo comes with no trademark check, no guidelines and no artwork sized for the signboard. A scoped package lists those lines, so the founder sees what the gig-site price leaves out.
Should we check trademarks before presenting a name?
Yes, at least a basic public search of the trademark registry in the client's class. Add a note that a formal search and filing belong with a trademark attorney. It saves the client from falling in love with a name they cannot protect.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
