Branding and graphic design studios · Search engine optimisation

Be found for packaging design, not for the cheapest logo.

SEO for a design studio decides whether a founder searching for packaging design or a restaurant identity opens your site or a directory. GullySales builds a page for each kind of project you want more of, and reports which searches brought an enquiry.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For branding and graphic design studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A page for each kind of project”

A founder searching for snack packaging will not scroll past your wedding invites.

  • “Founders search in their own words”

They type menu design. Your site says visual systems.

  • “Search finds the founder with nobody to ask”

Referrals bring most of your work. Search catches the rest.

What we do

What we deliver for branding and graphic design studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each kind of project you want more of

Packaging design, restaurant identity, a rebrand for a family business, each given its own page carrying the work and what the project actually involves.

Result: A founder searching for their exact project lands on it.

  2. Your site rewritten in a founder's words

Menu design instead of visual systems, packs instead of collateral, checked against what people type before a single page is written.

Result: The site finally says the thing the searcher was looking for.

  3. Case pages built to be found

Every project written up with the brief, the category and the city, and the headings and titles set so the page can rank rather than only be admired.

Result: Your portfolio starts bringing enquiries by itself.

  4. A clean-up of the site the studio never gets around to

Heavy image files, slow loading, missing titles and the pages left behind by your last redesign, fixed on the site you built for yourself over a weekend.

Result: Good work stops being held back by a fault you cannot see.

  5. Search reporting by project type

Position and enquiries for each project page, set against the baseline recorded before the work started.

Result: You know which project type deserves another page.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your clients type

What a founder types before hiring a design studio, and the page that answers it.

packaging design for a food brand
A packaging page. Show packs you designed and the brief behind them, and say what the client supplies: product, name, legal details. Say who handles the print vendor and proofs.
restaurant branding and menu design studio
A hospitality page. Show a restaurant identity from name to menu, signage and packaging. List what is included in the project and what the owner must decide before work starts.
brand identity design for a startup
A project page that shows your stages: discovery, name, logo, guidelines. Say what each stage delivers, what is not included and how many revision rounds the fee covers.
brand name ideas with trademark check
A naming page. Explain how you shortlist names and what a check against the register covers. Say that registration and legal advice are a trademark lawyer's work.
how much does a logo cost
A fee explainer. Describe what moves the fee: the scope, the number of applications, the revision rounds, and what is part of the identity. Invite the brief rather than posting a flat rate.
rebranding a family business
A rebranding page with one case study. Show the old and new identity, what was kept and why, and how the change was introduced to customers and staff.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why a studio brings us in for its own pipeline.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

We work the part after the enquiry as well: the reply, the follow-up, the proposal and the CRM your own pipeline runs on.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our clients come from referrals. Is SEO worth it?
Only for the project types you want more of, such as packaging or restaurant identity.
Should our Behance profile rank, or our own site?
Your own site. The enquiry form and the fee conversation live there.
Should we show full case studies or short ones?
Show a few full ones. Each should have the brief, your thinking, the work and what the client did with it. A grid of thumbnails shows taste. A founder deciding on a fee wants to see how you think.
Can we publish client work before the client launches it?
Only with written permission, and after the client has made it public. Many contracts restrict early publication. Keep a note of what each client has approved and leave the work off the site until then.
How do we justify our fee against cheap online logos?
Show what the fee buys beyond the file. A cheap logo comes with no trademark check, no guidelines and no artwork sized for the signboard. A scoped package lists those lines, so the founder sees what the gig-site price leaves out.
Should we check trademarks before presenting a name?
Yes, at least a basic public search of the trademark registry in the client's class. Add a note that a formal search and filing belong with a trademark attorney. It saves the client from falling in love with a name they cannot protect.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
