Branding and graphic design studios · Digital marketing

Market the studio in the hours between client deadlines.

Digital marketing for a design studio is one plan covering the site, Instagram, Behance and the partners who refer you, built around a founder who is also the lead designer. GullySales decides what gets published and turns every finished project into the pages and posts it should produce.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For branding and graphic design studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The studio markets itself only when it is quiet”

Posting stops the week a big project lands, and starts three months too late.

  • “One project should feed everything”

The photographs and the rejected routes become a case page, a carousel and a partner note.

  • “Search is not where your buyers start”

A recommendation or a scroll brings the enquiry. The website closes it.

What we do

What we deliver for branding and graphic design studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. One project a month turned into everything

The photographs, the routes you dropped and the client's own words worked into a case page, a carousel and a note to your referral partners.

Result: One write-up feeds every channel for the month.

  2. A handover checklist that captures the material

Photography, permission to publish and a line from the client, collected at delivery while the launch still matters, instead of chased six months later.

Result: The work is publishable the week it goes live.

  3. A regular hour with your name on it

One booked hour for the studio's own marketing, with what is due agreed in advance, because the lead designer here is also the owner.

Result: Marketing stops being whatever happens between projects.

  4. A decision on which channels to drop

A look at where paying enquiries have actually come from, and an agreement on what to keep and what to leave as a link in a bio.

Result: Two people are no longer feeding five accounts badly.

  5. One report across the studio's channels

Enquiries and signed projects by channel and by project type, compared with the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You see which channel brought a fee and which brought followers.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where a studio starts

A design studio starts with a portfolio that explains the thinking behind each project.

Portfolio with project stories
Choose a few projects and write the client's problem, your approach and the outcome in your own words. Keep the client's consent on file.
A page for the work you want
Write a page for naming, packaging or restaurant branding, whichever you want more of, with a process outline. Note enquiries it brings.
Enquiry form with a brief
Ask for the business stage, what is needed and the budget range. Log each enquiry with source and whether a proposal went out.
Behance or Instagram for one use
Pick one platform for new project posts and keep the profile linked to the site. Record which platform clients mention.
Referring printers and developers
List the printers, web developers and photographers who meet new founders. Tell them what you take on and note the work each sends.
What to leave until later
Leave paid ads and a stream of reels until the portfolio and the enquiry form exist. Cheap logo buyers are not the clients you want.

Who it is for

This is written for these branding and graphic design studios.

  • Independent graphic designers and small studios
  • Packaging design studios
  • Restaurant and hospitality branding specialists
  • Studios designing for D2C and consumer brands
  • Corporate identity and annual report designers
  • Illustration and visual content studios
  • Studios working with startups on naming and launch

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the digital marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Why us

Why a studio brings us in for its own pipeline.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

We work the part after the enquiry as well: the reply, the follow-up, the proposal and the CRM your own pipeline runs on.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

No time to market ourselves. What is the minimum?
One project written up properly each month, posted where founders are.
Which channel should a two-person studio drop?
Dribbble, unless you hire through it. It reaches designers, and designers do not commission identities.
Should we publish our prices?
Many studios publish a starting fee for each type of project, with what is included and the revision limit. Others publish none and use a short brief. Pick one on the basis of which sorts out your wrong enquiries best, and watch the quality of the next batch.
How do we handle clients who ask for free concepts?
Offer a paid discovery step or show the process on a past project, and say so on your site. Decline speculative work politely. Record how many enquiries drop out at that step and which ones you were happy to lose.
How do we justify our fee against cheap online logos?
Show what the fee buys beyond the file. A cheap logo comes with no trademark check, no guidelines and no artwork sized for the signboard. A scoped package lists those lines, so the founder sees what the gig-site price leaves out.
Should we check trademarks before presenting a name?
Yes, at least a basic public search of the trademark registry in the client's class. Add a note that a formal search and filing belong with a trademark attorney. It saves the client from falling in love with a name they cannot protect.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
