Interior design firms · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the project type and the locality, not just the firm's name.

SEO for interior designers is the work of ranking for what a client searches, such as modular kitchen design in a named locality, and not only for the studio's own name. GullySales splits the gallery into a page per project type, names the localities you work in, writes each project up, and clears the faults that keep these pages out of results.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For interior design firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A page per project type, not one combined gallery”

A single gallery page mixing every project type ranks for none of them as well as a dedicated apartment or retail design page.

  • “Locality terms in the page match how clients search”

A client searches with their area name, so a page naming that locality in its heading ranks where a generic page will not.

  • “Real project write-ups outrank thin photo captions”

A written brief and solution for each project gives search engines more to rank than a photo gallery with no context.

  • “Each page serves one stage of the client's decision”

An idea page meets the client at awareness, a written project brief meets them at consideration, and a page explaining how a quote is built meets them at decision. A site with only a gallery serves none of the three.

What we do

What we deliver for interior design firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Dedicated page per project type

A separate page for apartment, villa, retail and office design, replacing one combined gallery that ranks for none of them well.

Result: A client searching for a specific project type finds a page built for it.

  2. Locality pages naming areas you actually serve

Pages naming the neighbourhoods and areas you work in, matching how a client searches with their own area name.

Result: A client in that area finds your firm instead of a generic listing.

  3. Written project narratives replacing photo captions

A short brief and solution written for each project page, giving search engines and readers more than a caption under a photo.

Result: A project page ranks and reads as real work, not just an image.

  4. Technical fixes for site speed and indexing

Site issues fixed so project and locality pages are actually crawled and shown in search results.

Result: Pages that were invisible to search start appearing for their intended searches.

  5. Report naming the project page each enquiry came from

A report of which project or locality page brought an enquiry, checked against the baseline set before work starts.

Result: You know which page and area to invest more content in.

  6. Page set mapped to awareness, consideration and decision

A short plan listing which page answers which stage: idea and handover pages, project write-ups, and a page on how your quote and design fee work.

Result: A client at any stage lands on a page written for that stage.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a home owner types before calling a designer, and the page that answers it.

2BHK interior design in Whitefield
A project page for a flat type and a place. Show a finished 2BHK with the plan, the scope done, the materials used and a plain note on what a client decides before work starts.
living room false ceiling design ideas
An idea page in your own work. Show ceilings you have done, with the lighting and the material, and say when a false ceiling is a poor choice, such as a low flat. Add a way to book a site visit.
interior designer for apartment handover
A handover page for a new owner. Explain what happens between possession and move-in: site measurement, design sign-off, civil changes, execution and snag list. Show a completed apartment.
office interior design for a small team in Hyderabad
A commercial page. Give the layout approach and the fit-out items you handle, add one finished office, and list what a company must send: the floor plan, the budget range and the lease date.
turnkey interior contractor vs interior designer
A comparison page. Say how your firm works, design only or design and build, who the carpenter is, who is answerable on site and what the client signs. This is the doubt a buyer has before booking.
interior design cost for 3BHK
A cost page. Do not fix a number. Explain what moves the price: scope, materials, finish and city, and show how your quote is built line by line so the reader can judge it.

Who it is for

This is written for these interior design firms.

  • Residential interior design studios
  • Turnkey design-and-build firms
  • Retail and commercial interior design firms
  • Office and workplace interior design firms
  • Boutique single-designer practices
  • Modular kitchen and furniture-focused design firms
  • Design firms working closely with architects and builders

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have fewer than a handful of finished projects to describe, so project pages would be thin.
  • Your studio takes enquiries only by referral and cannot take more, so search visits would find a studio that is not free.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How long does SEO take for an interior design firm?
The Maps profile moves first, since Google already shows it for local searches. Project-type pages take longer to rank. We tell you which order suits your studio after the first conversation, and report against a baseline recorded before work starts.
Should we run ads while SEO builds?
Yes, for a project type where you need enquiries now, while SEO builds pages that keep bringing them in after.
Should we make a page for every finished project?
Only for those with good photographs, a clear plan and a client who agrees. Group the others into a project-type page. Fewer strong project pages with real detail rank and convince better than a crowd of thin ones with a gallery only.
Should one designer's name or the studio's name be on the pages?
Both. Buyers hire a person, so put the lead designer's name and photograph on the pages, and keep the studio's name consistent everywhere. If the designer leaves, the studio keeps the page and the reviews.
What should an interior design website rank for?
The project a client is about to start, in the place they live: 2BHK interiors, modular kitchen design, villa interiors, office fit-out. Ranking for the studio's own name matters less, because a client who already knows the name has decided to look.
Do we need a blog?
Only if you can write what a client asks before hiring, such as what happens between possession and move-in, or how a design fee differs from execution cost. Posts of general decor tips bring readers who never hire. Idea pages built on your own finished work are the better use of time.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
