Remodelling and home improvement contractors · Pay per click advertising

Stop paying by the click for homeowners who are building a Pinterest board.

Paid search for a remodelling company buys clicks from homeowners typing a room and a town, at prices set by every other contractor bidding on them. GullySales writes the ads, blocks the searches that drain the budget, and ties each click to whether anybody signed a design agreement.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

For remodelling and home improvement contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Plenty of remodelling searches are not homeowners”

Students, suppliers, people looking for a job and homeowners hunting for a weekend tutorial all type the same words. The negative keyword list is the first week's work, before any bidding.

  • “The click is expensive, so the phone has to be answered”

Remodelling clicks cost more than most trades pay, and they reach voicemail while you are standing in somebody's kitchen. Agreed answering hours decide whether the budget produces anything at all.

  • “The months to advertise are the months you are quiet”

Homeowners plan a summer kitchen in the first weeks of the year, when your calendar still has room. By June you are bidding against everyone and booking into next season.

What we do

What we deliver for remodelling and home improvement contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A negative keyword list built in the first week

The searches that look right and are not: hiring, wholesale suppliers, weekend tutorials, cabinet refacing if you do not sell it, and rental property work.

Result: Your budget stops funding people who will never hire anyone.

  2. Campaigns split by room and by town

Separate budgets for kitchens, baths, additions and basements, and for the suburbs your crews can reach without an hour in traffic.

Result: You can switch off the room you have no capacity for.

  3. A landing page for each campaign

The kitchen ad lands on kitchens, showing that room's projects and cost range, with a form asking budget and timeline before anything else.

Result: The click you bought does not have to go hunting.

  4. Calls answered inside agreed hours

Who picks up, what gets asked, and the overlap hours when our team takes the call-backs, because a paid click that reaches voicemail is money gone.

Result: The phone stops being the weakest part of the campaign.

  5. Budget moved by month rather than left running

Spend raised through the planning weeks after the holidays and cut back once the build calendar is already full for the season.

Result: You advertise when you have dates to sell.

  6. Reporting to the design agreement

Each click followed through to the in-home consultation and the signed design agreement, by room and by town, against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You can name the campaign that paid for itself.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches worth paying for as a remodelling contractor, and the ones to keep out.

Room plus locality, such as kitchen renovation in Indiranagar
Bid. A homeowner who names the room and the locality has a house and a rough plan. Keep kitchens, bathrooms and additions in separate ad groups so each advert shows that room's work.
Whole-house renovation and design-build searches
Bid only if you take full jobs. These buyers decide slowly, so say on the page how a project is run, from design to handover, and what an owner must decide first.
Single-item searches, such as cabinet handles or tile fitting labour
Block unless you sell the item. These searchers want a part or a daily-wage worker, not a contractor, and they will ask for a rate per piece.
Rental and landlord searches, such as repainting a flat before a tenant moves in
Block if your crews avoid this work. It is led by price and short in scope, and it will crowd out the room-by-room jobs that carry your margin.
Where the click lands
Send the click to the page for that room with finished projects from your own sites. Ask the budget range, the floor and when the house is free before the phone number, so the call starts from facts.
Counting a real enquiry
Count a form with a room and a budget range, or a call that ends in a site visit booked. A WhatsApp with photos of the room counts too. A message that asks only for a rate per square foot does not.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the pay per click advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the total budget

We agree the full paid advertising budget available across all platforms, rather than planning each one separately.

  2. 2

    Audit current platform performance

We compare existing campaigns on a shared basis to see where the budget currently performs best and worst.

  3. 3

    Build the cross-platform plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with a shared measurement standard from the outset.

  4. 4

    Implement and monitor

Campaigns run with budget allocated dynamically based on real-time performance.

  5. 5

    Measure and reallocate

We report performance and shift budget toward what is working, within agreed limits.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do ads work if we have no showroom and few reviews?
They work, and they cost more. A homeowner comparing three ads clicks the one with reviews behind it, so thin proof means you pay for the click and lose the call. Spend part of the first budget on photography and review requests.
Should we advertise every room?
Start with the one you want more of and can build profitably. Kitchens and primary baths carry the highest click prices because every contractor wants them. Basements, additions and accessibility work face less competition.
Should we bid on interior designer as well as renovation contractor?
Only if you do design. A person who types interior designer expects concepts and 3D views, and will leave a page that talks about crews and civil work. If you mainly build, bid on contractor and renovation words and say so.
What do we do with enquiries that arrive without any budget?
Ask for a range on the form, and offer ranges rather than an empty box, since owners often do not know a number. A reply that says what a room of that size usually involves keeps the conversation going without quoting a price.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
