Excavation and earthmoving contractors · Local SEO

Get your yard on the map when a site manager searches for a machine nearby.

Local SEO for an earthmoving contractor is being shown on Google Maps when someone near a site searches for an excavator or a JCB on hire. GullySales sets up the Business Profile, the service area and the listings so that the call goes to your phone and not to the next yard.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For excavation and earthmoving contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your yard is not where your customers are”

A buyer in Whitefield searches near the site, not near your yard in Anekal. The profile has to name the areas you serve or Google will not show you there.

  • “Fake and duplicate listings take the calls”

Brokers list machines they do not own and pass the booking to whoever is free. A buyer who calls them and hears a different name loses trust in the whole listing.

  • “The hours on the profile are the office hours”

A site manager rings at six in the morning, when the operator is already on site. A phone that rings out is a booking lost to the next number on the map.

What we do

What we deliver for excavation and earthmoving contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Google Business Profile with service areas

A profile with the yard address and the areas you serve set properly, the right categories and each machine listed as a service.

Result: A buyer in your service area sees your yard as an option.

  2. Photographs of machines and live sites

Machines at work, the yard, the operators in uniform and the number plate area blurred, uploaded steadily and with captions naming the locality.

Result: A profile with real photographs is believed before a call is made.

  3. Listings on the Indian directories

JustDial, IndiaMART and Sulekha entries checked and matched, with the same name, address, phone and machine list everywhere.

Result: A buyer who finds you on a directory finds the same details as on the map.

  4. A clean-up of duplicate and broker listings

Duplicates of your own yard are merged or reported, and brokers using your name or photographs are reported through the platform's process.

Result: A caller reaches you and not a middleman using your photographs.

  5. Review replies and a reply routine for calls

A routine for replying to every review and for who picks up the phone at which hours, including when the operator is out on site.

Result: The profile stops sending calls into a phone that is not answered.

  6. Calls and direction requests traced to bookings

Calls from the profile logged against the jobs they became, so you can see which area gives work.

Result: You know which locality repays the effort.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How Google decides which earthmoving contractor to show a site manager, and the checks that follow.

Relevance: categories and machine names
Choose the category that matches what you do, such as earthmoving contractor or construction equipment rental, and list each machine as a service. Do not add a category you cannot serve.
Distance: the buyer is at the site, not at your yard
Google measures from the searcher. Set service areas to the localities you can reach with a machine, and be honest about the edges. A site two hours away is a call you will decline.
Prominence: reviews, photographs and mentions
Recent reviews from builders and plot owners, photographs of real jobs and mentions on a directory or a builder's page all count. Ask for a review on the day a job is signed off.
Directories that matter for this trade
JustDial, IndiaMART and Sulekha are where many buyers also look. Claim each, list the machines and mark the areas. Ignore paid packages that promise the top place.
Name, address and phone, identical everywhere
Write the business name as it appears on the GST registration and the signboard, with the same yard address and a phone that is answered. Different spellings on different sites weaken the match.
Check the platform's current guidelines
Google changes its rules on service-area businesses and on names. Read its current guidelines before editing the name or address, because a wrong edit can suspend the profile.

Who it is for

This is written for these excavation and earthmoving contractors.

  • Backhoe loader owners with one or two JCBs
  • Excavator and hydraulic rock breaker operators
  • Basement and foundation excavation contractors
  • Site development and plot levelling contractors
  • Tipper and earth transport owners
  • Pond digging and farm earthwork contractors
  • Road and trench work sub-contractors
  • Mixed fleets supplying builders and layout developers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local seo work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can I list the profile with a service area but no shop?
Yes, if you serve customers at their site. Google allows a profile that hides the address and shows the service area, but check its current guidelines. A yard that customers do visit can show the address as well.
Someone listed a machine in my name with another phone number. What now?
Report the listing to Google using its edit and report options, and keep screenshots. Claim your own profile first so you have standing. Removal is not in your hands or ours, and it can take repeated reports.
I share a yard with another contractor. Will that hurt?
It can confuse Google, because two businesses at one address look like duplicates. Use different names on the board, different phone numbers and different categories, and have each business verify its own profile.
I have a second yard in another town. One profile or two?
Two, if each is a place with a phone answered and machines based there. Give each its own address, service area and photographs. A second profile for a place with no yard and no staff gets refused or suspended.
Do you help with the machines or only the marketing?
Only the marketing and sales side. Machines, operators, permissions and the digging remain your team's. We set up the pages, the enquiry record and the follow-up, and report calls against bookings.
Can marketing help in the monsoon months when the ground is wet?
It helps with the weeks after. Builders book machines before the ground dries, so the calls and the messages go out in the last weeks of the rains. Searches for farm ponds and drainage carry on through the wet season.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
