Excavation and earthmoving contractors · WhatsApp marketing

Use the WhatsApp chat you already have to confirm sites, dates and machines.

WhatsApp marketing for an earthmoving contractor is the booking conversation itself: the site pin, the photograph of the ground, the machine and the date. GullySales sets up a business number, saved replies and a record so a booking made in a chat does not sit in one operator's phone.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For excavation and earthmoving contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The booking sits in the operator's personal chat”

When the operator changes, the site pin, the rate and the date go with his phone. The next caller starts from nothing.

  • “Photographs arrive without a location”

A picture of a plot with no pin or landmark makes you ask twice, and by then the builder has asked a rival as well.

  • “Broadcast to every builder in the contact list”

A message to everyone saying machines are available annoys the customers you want to keep and reaches people who gave no permission.

What we do

What we deliver for excavation and earthmoving contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business number with a profile

A business profile showing the yard, the machines, the working hours and the areas served, kept apart from the operators' phones.

Result: A buyer messaging the number reaches the business, not one man.

  2. Saved replies for the usual questions

Replies for rate basis, minimum booking, what the owner provides, how to share a location and what happens if rain stops the work.

Result: A simple question is answered in the same words every time.

  3. A booking confirmation message

A single message restating the site, the machine, the start day and the contact on site, sent when the order is agreed.

Result: The operator and the builder have the same details in writing.

  4. A consent record for updates

A list of builders and plot owners who agreed to hear about machine availability or post-monsoon bookings, with the date and how they agreed.

Result: You message only people who said yes.

  5. A chat to record handover

Each chat saved against the enquiry in the sheet, with the outcome: booked, lost, deferred. The operator hands over, not owns.

Result: A new person can read what was promised.

  6. A short message for the end of the job

A thank-you with the invoice details, a request for a review and a line about the next phase of work.

Result: The job closes with a record and, where the customer is willing, a review.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What an earthmoving contractor needs before using WhatsApp to take bookings and send updates.

A business number kept apart from personal phones
Register the number to the company, not an operator. Keep the SIM and the login with the owner. Say who reads the chat each day, including when machines are on site.
An opt-in record before any update
Write down who agreed to receive messages, the date and the way: a tick on a form, a message sent first by them, or a spoken yes noted in the sheet. Do not add people from a list you were given.
Business profile with yard, hours and areas
Fill the address, the hours the phone is answered, the machines and a line on the areas served. A buyer checking the number sees a business, which helps them trust a booking sent by message.
Approved templates for messages you start
Messages you begin, such as a booking reminder or a post-monsoon availability note, need templates through the business platform. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before you plan volumes.
An opt-out that works
Every update says how to stop receiving it, and a request to stop is honoured and written in the record the same day. A builder who asked to stop and still hears from you will block the number.
A human who replies
Automatic replies handle the greeting and the questions list. A person answers within the working day on anything about a site, a rate or a date, and says so on the profile.

Who it is for

This is written for these excavation and earthmoving contractors.

  • Backhoe loader owners with one or two JCBs
  • Excavator and hydraulic rock breaker operators
  • Basement and foundation excavation contractors
  • Site development and plot levelling contractors
  • Tipper and earth transport owners
  • Pond digging and farm earthwork contractors
  • Road and trench work sub-contractors
  • Mixed fleets supplying builders and layout developers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should I use a broadcast list or the business API?
A broadcast list suits a small contact list who saved your number and reaches only people who did. The API suits larger volumes and several staff on one number, and costs more to set up. Start with the app, and move when the chats outgrow one phone.
Can operators keep using their personal WhatsApp for customers?
It is better not to. The chat, the site pin and the rate then belong to the operator. Give the operator the business number to carry, or have bookings go through the office. Save the details in the sheet either way.
Can I make a group with builders and operators for each site?
A group for one live site is fine, and works well for daily start details. Add only people who need it, and keep rate talk out of it. Close the group when the job ends, and record the outcome elsewhere.
Is a WhatsApp catalogue useful for machines?
Yes, as a simple list. Add each machine with a photograph, what it does and how it is booked. Leave the price off if it varies by site, and say 'rate on request'. A buyer sees the fleet without scrolling the chat.
Do you help with the machines or only the marketing?
Only the marketing and sales side. Machines, operators, permissions and the digging remain your team's. We set up the pages, the enquiry record and the follow-up, and report calls against bookings.
Can marketing help in the monsoon months when the ground is wet?
It helps with the weeks after. Builders book machines before the ground dries, so the calls and the messages go out in the last weeks of the rains. Searches for farm ponds and drainage carry on through the wet season.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
