Road and paving contractors · Reputation management

Answer the review about the pothole that came back after the rains.

Reputation management for a road contractor is replying honestly to what clients write on Google and directories, and fixing at the site whatever they complained about. GullySales sets up a review routine and reply drafts, and tracks what the complaints say about your work.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For road and paving contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A road fails in public”

A damaged surface after the first monsoon is seen by every resident and passer-by. A review about it is read by the next committee deciding on a contractor.

  • “Disputes about bills end up as reviews”

A client unhappy with a final measurement or a retention amount posts his version online. A calm reply that names the process helps more than silence.

  • “Reviews come from few happy clients”

A developer pleased with a layout rarely thinks to write a review. The few reviews online come from the unhappy ones unless you ask.

What we do

What we deliver for road and paving contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A review reply guide for road work

Drafts for praise, a delay, a failed surface, a billing dispute and an unfair review, with the facts the owner must check first.

Result: Each review gets a reply that is specific and calm.

  2. A complaint log tied to the site

Every complaint, public or private, recorded against the site, the date, the cause and the repair done.

Result: Patterns across jobs become visible.

  3. A review ask at handover

A short link and a polite request given to the client at the sign-off, when the road looks its best and he is satisfied.

Result: The reviews online reflect the roads you finished.

  4. A response routine for failed surfaces

A named person who visits checks the cause and puts the finding and the repair plan in writing.

Result: A failure is dealt with where everyone can see it.

  5. A check of what others say about you

A search of Google, JustDial and local groups for mentions of your name, with a note of what to correct.

Result: You find out before a prospective client does.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

The reviews a road contractor gets, and what to say and fix inside for each.

Praise for a finished layout or yard
Thank the person by name and mention the place. Ask whether you may use a photograph on the project page. Do not offer a discount or gift in return for a review.
A complaint about delay or the monsoon
Say what stopped work and when the crew returned. Check your diary before replying, because a reply that contradicts the record makes things worse.
A complaint that the surface has failed
Say you will inspect on a named day, then do it. Record the cause in the site log: sub-base, drainage, traffic or the mix. Reply again once the repair is done.
A dispute over measurement or payment
Offer a joint measurement and do not argue amounts in public. Invite the client to call a named person and note the outcome in the record.
A complaint about dust, noise or crew behaviour
Apologise for what happened and say what has changed on site. Speak to the supervisor, and look at whether the barricading and timings need to change.
A review that looks false or from a rival
Reply once, calmly, saying you cannot match it to any job. Report it to the platform with your evidence. Never write a false review of your own or ask others to.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the reputation management work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current perception

We start by actually searching your business name and reviewing what a stranger would currently see.

  2. 2

    Audit existing mentions

We catalogue reviews, mentions and search results, flagging anything negative or inaccurate.

  3. 3

    Plan responses

A calm, factual response is prepared for anything that needs one, agreed with you before posting.

  4. 4

    Implement monitoring

Ongoing checks are set up so new mentions are caught promptly rather than discovered by accident.

  5. 5

    Measure and report

Sentiment and response times are reported, with your business name searched again to see what has moved.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we ask a developer to remove a bad review?
You can ask, once, after you have fixed what he complained about. You cannot require it or offer something in exchange. Platforms have their own rules, and removal is not in your hands.
How should we reply when a client writes in Hindi or a regional language?
In the same language, if somebody on your team writes it well. A short reply in his language shows you read it. If not, reply in simple English and offer a call.
A review names our supervisor. What do we do?
Find out what happened before replying. Thank the reviewer, address the issue and do not discuss the supervisor in public. Handle any correction of his conduct inside the company.
Should we reply to a review from a rival or someone who was never a client?
Reply once, politely, saying you cannot find a job at that site and inviting contact. Report it through the platform if it is clearly false. Do not argue in the thread.
Do you help us win government tenders?
We help you find notices sooner, keep your papers ready and show your past work. We do not write bids or influence anyone. Each portal's current rules decide eligibility, and your own team or a tender consultant handles the submission.
Can we show photographs of a road we laid for a developer?
Ask first and keep the answer in writing, preferably when the job is signed. Many developers agree if the layout name is not used for anything misleading. Showing a place name and a finished surface is what makes the page believable.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
