Bakeries · Website

Let a customer browse the menu and pre-order without messaging first.

A bakery website shows the menu with prices and photographs by occasion, and takes a pre-order or advance payment directly. GullySales builds it around your occasion pages and delivery radius, and connects the pre-order form to whoever runs your kitchen schedule.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What website means

A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For bakeries

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The menu is organised by occasion first”

A customer planning a birthday looks for birthday cakes specifically, so occasion comes before cake type.

  • “Pre-order forms capture the date and design upfront”

A form asking for the delivery date and design reference avoids the back-and-forth a plain enquiry form creates.

  • “Delivery radius is stated before checkout”

A customer outside the area finding out after paying creates a refund and a lost afternoon.

What we do

What we deliver for bakeries.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Menu pages organised by occasion

Birthday, wedding, festival and corporate cake pages built separately, each with photographs and a price range, instead of one menu list.

Result: A customer planning one occasion finds the page built for it.

  2. Pre-order form capturing date and design

A form asking for the delivery date, design reference and occasion before any back-and-forth message is needed.

Result: The kitchen gets the details it needs without a round of follow-up questions.

  3. Delivery radius shown before checkout

The delivery area stated clearly on the ordering page, before a customer enters payment details.

Result: A customer outside the area finds out before paying, not after.

  4. Advance payment linked to the kitchen schedule

A payment step for the advance amount, linked to whoever manages the kitchen's order calendar.

Result: A confirmed order is reserved in the schedule as soon as it is paid.

  5. Report on website orders and enquiries

A report on pre-orders placed and enquiries generated through the website, measured against the agreed baseline.

Result: The owner sees whether the website is pulling its weight against WhatsApp and Instagram.

How the result is measured

  • Page load time
  • Bounce rate
  • Enquiries from the website

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What the page must show

What a bakery's website must show before a family orders a cake.

Price by weight for every cake
Show the price per half kilo and per kilo for each flavour, and the extra for fondant, photo print or a tier. A parent comparing three bakeries will not message to ask the price.
Eggless, allergens and ingredients
Mark each item as eggless or with egg, and name nuts, gluten and the type of cream. Put your FSSAI licence number in the footer so a cautious parent finds it.
The notice each design needs
State how many days ahead a photo cake, a tiered cake or a themed design must be ordered, and what the bakery does at short notice. This is what stops a late-evening rush request.
Delivery area, charge and pickup
List the localities you deliver to, the charge for each zone and whether the family can collect. Show a pincode check if the area is wide, before the customer pays an advance.
What can be written, printed or customised
Say what you can do: a message on top, a name, a photo print, a figurine or a theme. Show one real example of each so a customer knows what to ask for.
Photographs of the actual bake with its size
Photograph the cakes you really make, with the weight beside each one and a hand or a plate for scale. Old photographs of a different cake invite a complaint on delivery day.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the website work runs

  1. 1

    Confirm structure and content

We agree the site's pages and content needs before design begins, drawing on website strategy where it exists.

  2. 2

    Design the site

Every page is designed against your brand identity and checked for how it should convert a visitor.

  3. 3

    Build and test

The site is developed and tested across devices and browsers before anything goes live.

  4. 4

    Load real content

Actual copy, images and information about your business replace placeholder content before launch.

  5. 5

    Launch and hand over access

The site goes live with domain, hosting and content management access clearly handed to you.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Your brief

Tell us what you need, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need full online payment, or can WhatsApp confirm orders?
Many bakeries take a small advance online and settle the balance on delivery.
Will this replace our Instagram ordering?
It works alongside it, for customers who want to browse the full menu.
How do we handle a Pinterest or Instagram picture sent as a design?
Put a line on the order page saying you will match the look, not copy it exactly, and which elements need a different notice period. Ask for the picture with the order, and reply with a price range. This avoids a dispute on the day.
Should the site show a price for custom designs?
Give a starting price and the factors that raise it, such as tiers, fondant work and figurines, then say the final price is confirmed after the design is agreed. A customer who sees only 'on request' often goes to the next bakery.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
