Fabric shops and retailers · WhatsApp marketing

New stock is shown on WhatsApp in this trade, so show it properly.

WhatsApp is how a cloth shop shows a new lot, quotes a rate per metre and takes a trade order. Done badly it is forty blurred photographs and an argument about shade. GullySales photographs your shelf into a catalogue, writes the saved replies the counter needs, and separates the trade list from the retail one.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For fabric shops and retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Forty photographs is not a catalogue”

She asked for a green in cotton and got the contents of a rack. Shoot each running design once in daylight against a white sheet, with the weave, the width and a rate band beside it, and one picture answers her.

  • “The trade list and the retail list must be separate”

A tailor asking a thaan rate does not want your saree offers, and a household buyer should never see a wholesale figure. Most shops run both from one number and irritate both.

  • “Say on the picture that the shade may read differently”

One line under every photograph, and a cut sample couriered to anyone buying in quantity. Shops that do this stop getting returns. Shops that do not quietly give up quoting on WhatsApp at all.

What we do

What we deliver for fabric shops and retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Your running stock photographed as a catalogue

Each design shot in daylight against a plain sheet with the weave, the width and a rate band, loaded into the WhatsApp Business catalogue and onto your site.

Result: A question is answered with one picture.

  2. A WhatsApp Business account that belongs to the shop

The shop number, the address, the hours, a greeting message and the catalogue, set up in the shop's name rather than a staff member's.

Result: The buyer list stays with you.

  3. Saved replies for the questions that repeat

This colour in cotton, the rate per metre, whether a cut piece can be couriered, whether the shade will still be there next month.

Result: Nobody waits until evening for a one-line answer.

  4. Trade and retail split into two lists

Tailors, boutiques and contractors on one, household buyers on the other, with different messages and different rates.

Result: The wholesale rate stops reaching the counter customer.

  5. A rule for what goes out

What is worth a broadcast, what belongs on status where looking is optional, and who checks it before it is sent.

Result: People stop muting the shop.

  6. Consent taken at the bill

The number recorded with permission, the buyer told what she will get, and a way to stop it in one word.

Result: The shop stays welcome on the channel it depends on.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

Settle these before the first lot photograph goes out.

Trade and retail permission, by account
Ask tailors, boutiques and wholesale buyers to agree to trade updates, and record it by account name. A retail customer who receives a trade rate by mistake will ask for it again.
The shop's number, not a salesman's
Run the Business app on the shop's SIM. A salesman's regular customers should not leave with his phone when he moves to the shop next door.
A photograph standard for every lot
Shoot each fabric in daylight on the same background, with a hand to show drape. Put name, composition, width and rate per metre or per thaan in the caption.
Lot announcements you start yourself
A new-stock message sent when the customer has not written recently may need an approved template. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before planning a stock broadcast.
The cut-cloth line
Put one line in the catalogue on whether cut pieces can be returned. Written once, it ends the argument after the shade looks different at home.
A way off the trade list
Let a tailor leave the new-lot list without losing the account. A tailor who receives retail festival offers will mute you.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How often can we send a broadcast without people blocking us?
Send when there is something to see, not on a schedule. A new lot, a shade somebody asked for, the wedding collection before the muhurat dates. Put everything else on status, where looking is optional, and the mutes stop.
Should we quote our thaan rate on WhatsApp?
To a known trade account, yes, from the shop number so there is a record. Not to a number you have never met, and never on a broadcast, because it will reach your retail customers and the shop next door. Keep rate bands for retail and figures for the trade.
Can customers pay for a cut length through WhatsApp before we ship?
Yes, by UPI to the shop's own account. Reply with the item, length, rate and courier, then mark it paid when the credit shows. Never accept payment to a personal account, which makes a dispute hard to settle.
A customer wants the cloth she bought last year. How do we find it?
Label each customer's chat in the Business app with the cloth and buying month, and keep the bill number in the chat. That turns last year's purchase into a lookup instead of memory at the counter.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
