Hypermarkets · Local SEO

Show up on the map with the right gate, the right hours and a parking answer.

Local SEO for a hypermarket is the work of making the store appear in the map results of a family searching from home, work or the highway, with details they can trust. GullySales works on the Maps listing, the hours and entry information, the photographs and the review replies.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For hypermarkets

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The drive is the decision”

A family weighs the journey before the price. A listing that shows the nearest road, the gate to use and whether parking is free tells them the trip is manageable. A listing without it sends them to the nearer small store.

  • “Festival hours are wrong on the listing”

The store opens early for a festival weekend and stays late, and the listing still shows regular hours. A family arrives to a shut gate or never leaves home because Maps said closed.

  • “Departments get mistaken for the store”

A pharmacy counter, a food court or an electronics section is added as its own listing by a visitor. Reviews split, phone numbers differ and the main store loses the ratings that belong to it.

  • “Reviews are about the queue”

The comments that decide a visit are on billing waits, parking and whether an item advertised was in stock. A reply that names the issue and says what the store has changed is read by the next family deciding.

What we do

What we deliver for hypermarkets.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Maps listing set up for the whole store

The primary type, secondary types, address pin on the right gate, phone number and a description of the floors, checked against the building.

Result: The pin leads a driver to the entrance you want used.

  2. Festival and holiday hours entered in advance

Special hours for each sale weekend and public holiday set on the listing before the day arrives.

Result: Searching on a festival morning shows the real opening time.

  3. Parking and entry information in the profile

The gate for cars, the two-wheeler entrance, the lift or trolley ramp and any paid-parking rule written into the description and photographs.

Result: A family can read where to park before leaving home.

  4. Photographs of floors and counters

Pictures of each floor, the entrance, the billing area and the parking, replaced when the layout changes.

Result: The photographs match the building a visitor finds.

  5. Replies to complaints about queues and stock

A written answer to each review that names the issue, says what the store changed and avoids a blanket apology.

Result: Complaints show a reply that a new reader can judge.

  6. Duplicate and department listings tidied

A check for extra listings of departments or old addresses, with merges or removals requested through the platform.

Result: One main listing carries the store's ratings.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these hypermarkets.

  • Single-site hypermarkets on a highway or ring road
  • Hypermarkets inside shopping malls
  • Regional chains of hypermarkets across a few cities
  • Hypermarkets with an attached electronics and appliances floor
  • Hypermarkets with a strong apparel and home section
  • Cash-and-carry style large formats that sell to both households and traders
  • Hypermarkets in tier-two towns that draw from several villages
  • Franchise hypermarkets that follow a national brand's offer calendar

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should each department have its own listing?
Only a counter with its own name, hours and phone number should. Check the platform's current rules. A section of the same shop belongs inside the main listing.
A rival hypermarket is nearer to the highway. Can we still show up?
Search ranks by distance, relevance and reputation. You cannot move the building, so improve what you control: correct hours, clear photographs, replies to reviews and the parking information.
Do we reply to every review?
Reply to the ones that name a problem or praise a person, and thank the rest briefly. Each reply is read by a family comparing two stores.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
