Hypermarkets · Social media

Post what a family will plan the weekend around, not what the shelf holds.

Social media marketing for a hypermarket is the use of Instagram, Facebook and YouTube to show families what the store offers for the coming weekend and festival, and to bring them in. GullySales works on the post plan, the store footage and the way a comment becomes a visit.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For hypermarkets

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A price tag on a photograph is not a post”

Shelf photographs with a price are copied from the leaflet. A family scrolling past sees an advert, not a reason. A post about what to buy for the festival, with items from several floors, gives a reason to plan the trip.

  • “Reels of the store build the trip”

A walk through the fresh section, the new appliance floor or the opening-day queue shows what the building holds. A family that sees the range on a phone arrives with a list instead of wandering.

  • “The comment section is a shop counter”

A shopper asks if a mixer is in stock and nobody answers for two days. Another asks the sale end date and gets silence. Each unanswered comment is a family who stays home.

  • “Local creators bring a different crowd”

A household-budget creator or a neighbourhood food page speaks to the people in a catchment. The store has to give them a clear brief and a clean offer, or the post is a thank-you, not a visit.

What we do

What we deliver for hypermarkets.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A post plan built on the sale calendar

Posts mapped to the festival and sale dates, each tied to one offer from a floor and one way to respond.

Result: Every post has a date, a floor and a response method.

  2. Store footage shot on a working floor

Short vertical clips of the fresh section, the home floor and the bulk aisle, with permission from staff who appear.

Result: The store has a library of its own footage to draw on.

  3. Comment and message answers assigned

A named person for the comment section, with a short list of answers about stock, timings, parking and sale dates.

Result: Questions receive a reply from someone who knows.

  4. Creator briefs with a code

A one-page brief for each creator with the offer, the dates and a code that the family quotes at billing.

Result: Visits from a creator can be counted at the counter.

  5. Paid posts aimed at catchment localities

Boosted posts set to the localities the store serves, with a different offer for a gated community and for a township.

Result: Reports show which locality saw which post.

  6. A festival content pack

Images and short clips for a festival, prepared before the date, with the floors' offers named.

Result: The pack is ready before the festival starts.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these hypermarkets.

  • Single-site hypermarkets on a highway or ring road
  • Hypermarkets inside shopping malls
  • Regional chains of hypermarkets across a few cities
  • Hypermarkets with an attached electronics and appliances floor
  • Hypermarkets with a strong apparel and home section
  • Cash-and-carry style large formats that sell to both households and traders
  • Hypermarkets in tier-two towns that draw from several villages
  • Franchise hypermarkets that follow a national brand's offer calendar

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform matters most for a hypermarket?
Choose by where your shoppers already are. Facebook and Instagram reach households; YouTube carries store tours and recipes. Start with one and answer it well.
Should we show prices in posts?
Show a price only when the offer dates are fixed and the stock is held. A price that the shelf does not match costs trust.
How do we know a post brought someone in?
Ask for a code or keyword at billing or on WhatsApp. Without it, a post can only be judged by likes, which a shop cannot bank.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
