Mattress stores · Buyer persona

Know the six people who walk in, and what each needs to hear before lying down.

A buyer persona for a mattress store is a written picture of one kind of customer, covering what triggers the purchase, who joins the decision and what stops the sale. GullySales builds these from your own sales and your staff's memory of the floor, not from guesses.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For mattress stores

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The sleeper is rarely the only decider”

A son buys for a parent, a couple decide together, a PG owner buys for tenants. The person whose back aches, the person who pays and the person who carries it home may be three people, and each asks a different question.

  • “The new-home buyer needs a set, not a mattress”

A family moving into a flat needs a bed, a mattress, pillows and a protector, all in one visit and one budget. Showing a bundle at a single price answers the question they have not yet asked.

  • “The back-pain buyer needs care in the words”

This buyer arrives anxious and may already have a doctor's note. Promise support and comfort, not treatment, and let them try more than one. A store that overclaims loses trust the first time the buyer reads a review.

  • “The bulk buyer thinks in beds and repairs”

A hostel owner compares cost per bed, how long the mattress lasts under heavy use and who replaces a failed one. The same pitch used on a family sounds irrelevant, and the same visit time does not suit them.

What we do

What we deliver for mattress stores.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A short persona card for each buyer type

One card each for the new-home family, back-care buyer, parent-for-child buyer, guest-room buyer, gifting buyer and bulk buyer.

Result: Six cards the whole team reads.

  2. The trigger and the question for each

The event that starts the search and the first thing each buyer asks, taken from real conversations at the shop.

Result: Staff know what each buyer is likely to ask first.

  3. The objection and the honest answer

What stops each buyer, such as price against an online brand, and the answer the team gives in plain words.

Result: A written answer to each common objection.

  4. Channels matched to each persona

Where each buyer is reached, whether Maps, Instagram, a relative's message or a call to the owner of a PG.

Result: Each persona has a named channel.

  5. A check against your own sales

The cards compared with the last visit-register entries and invoices, and corrected where they do not match.

Result: Cards that reflect who actually bought.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How many personas does a mattress store need?
Enough to cover the people who actually buy from you. Start with the few that bring the bulk of your orders, and add a persona only when a real customer does not fit the existing cards.
Where does the information come from?
From your staff, your visit register, your invoices and the questions asked on WhatsApp. We do not invent a buyer. If the register is empty, the first job is to begin filling it.
What do we do with the personas afterwards?
Staff use them to decide what to say first, ads use them to choose the message, and the guide pages use them to choose the questions answered. A card nobody reads is not worth printing.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
