Tile, flooring and bathware dealers · Buyer persona

The person paying for the tiles is rarely the person who picks the dealer.

A buyer persona for a tile, flooring and bathware showroom describes each kind of person who walks in or phones, what they are deciding and who else is deciding with them. GullySales works on writing those personas from your own quotation book and floor staff, so each one gets the right samples, words and follow-up.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For tile, flooring and bathware dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The homeowner chooses the look, the mason chooses the dealer”

The family falls for a design on the display wall. The mason, who must lay it and who will be blamed for breakage, names the dealer the mason trusts for delivery. A persona that ignores the mason describes half of the purchase.

  • “The architect and designer want samples, not a sales pitch”

A designer specifying a bathroom needs a sample kit, a trade rate and assurance that the showroom will not approach the client directly. The conversation is about finish, size and availability of a full batch, in that order.

  • “The builder buys a range, not a room”

A builder fitting out a block of flats looks for one dealer who can hold a fixed range, deliver to each floor as the work proceeds and replace broken boxes. Rate and credit period lead; the showroom's display counts for little.

  • “The landlord renovating a rental asks one thing: how cheap and how clean”

This buyer wants durable, easy-to-clean flooring and a short job, and will not pay for a premium name. Treating the landlord like a family building a dream home loses the sale on the first quote.

What we do

What we deliver for tile, flooring and bathware dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A persona for each buyer who reaches the showroom

One page each for the homeowner, the mason or plumber, the designer, the builder and the landlord, written from real quotations: what they asked, what they chose and who they brought with them.

Result: Floor staff can say which kind of buyer is in front of them.

  2. A map of who decides at each stage

A simple chart showing who picks the look, who picks the dealer, who approves the price and who pays, for a family project and for a builder project.

Result: You know whom to call before the quote goes cold.

  3. Questions that sort the buyer in the first conversation

Three or four plain questions staff ask at the door, such as who will lay the floor and which rooms are being done, written into a one-page guide.

Result: The right sample kit and quotation go to the right buyer.

  4. Messages written per persona

Short WhatsApp and printed notes for each persona, in the words that persona uses for tiles, fittings and delivery.

Result: A designer and a landlord stop receiving the same message.

  5. A review of personas against orders confirmed

A look at which personas actually became orders in your quotation record, and which ones took the most floor time for the least return.

Result: Staff time goes to the buyers who order.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is a buyer persona only useful for a big showroom?
No. A single showroom with a few salespeople gains the most, because the same few staff meet every kind of buyer. Writing down who each one is, and what they need, stops good leads being handled in one way.
Do we need to survey customers to build personas?
No survey is needed. Your quotation book, the masons who bring families in and the floor staff already hold the answers. We read those, ask a few buyers short questions on the phone and write the personas from that.
Should the mason be a persona of their own?
Yes. The mason and the plumber influence which dealer wins, so each needs their own message, their own sample access and their own record of who they referred. Leaving them out of the persona list is how the order walks to the next showroom.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
