Home decor businesses · WhatsApp marketing

Turn the screenshot that lands on WhatsApp into a quote, an advance and an order.

WhatsApp marketing for a home decor business is the use of the app where buyers send saved photos, ask for prices and confirm orders. GullySales sets up the catalogue, the saved replies and the broadcast routine around it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For home decor businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The buyer arrives with a picture, not a question”

A saved image lands on WhatsApp and the buyer waits for a price and availability. The reply that carries both in the first message keeps the customer; a reply that asks for the picture again loses the thread.

  • “A catalogue turns a chat into a browse”

WhatsApp Business lets a shop list products with photographs and prices. A buyer who can scroll your range inside the chat does not need to go back to Instagram, where another seller is one tap away.

  • “Broadcasts work only for people who asked to hear from you”

A festive message to a list of past buyers who agreed to receive it is welcome. The same message sent to strangers is spam, and it can lead the platform to restrict the number. Check the platform's current rules.

  • “Groups blur the line between customer and crowd”

A group for a housing society or a gifting circle can spread word of a sale, but it also shows every member's number. Use a broadcast list for offers and keep one-to-one chats for quotes.

What we do

What we deliver for home decor businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business setup for decor

A business profile with catalogue, labels for enquiry stage and a greeting that asks for the room and the occasion.

Result: A new chat starts with the right questions already asked.

  2. Saved replies for common enquiries

Ready messages for price, availability, delivery to a city, gift wrap and custom orders.

Result: Staff answer the same question the same way each time.

  3. A consent-based broadcast list

A list of past buyers who agreed to receive festival and arrival updates, with a simple way to leave.

Result: Offers reach people who asked for them.

  4. An order confirmation message

A standard message that restates the piece, the price, the advance and the delivery address before payment.

Result: Both sides agree on the order before money moves.

  5. A route for breakage and returns

A saved reply and a photo request for a damaged delivery, taken from public comments into a private chat.

Result: A complaint is resolved with the buyer, not in front of the audience.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Set the messages the shop's number sends from the screenshot to the delivered piece.

First reply to a screenshot
Names the closest piece you stock, its size and the price if ready stock, with a photograph in a room.
Catalogue by room and look
A link to the catalogue sorted by room, set up in the Business app. Lets staff answer in a tap rather than forward photographs.
Advance payment request
A message with the piece, the amount, the balance and the delivery date. Record the reply so the order matches what was agreed.
Order confirmation and dispatch
A note with the courier details and a reminder to film the unboxing. Record the date and tracking number.
Breakage report route
A fixed message asking for a photograph of the damage and the packing. Record the order, the photographs and who is dealing with it.

Who it is for

This is written for these home decor businesses.

  • Home decor and furnishing boutiques
  • Online-only decor and lifestyle stores
  • Wall art and photo frame sellers
  • Lighting and lamp specialists
  • Curtain and soft furnishing stores
  • Festive and seasonal decor sellers
  • Gifting and home accessory stores
  • Home styling and consultation studios

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The shop number is also the owner's personal phone, and customer chats would be lost when staff change
  • You plan to send offer messages to every contact, though customers who did not agree would block the number

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we use a personal number for the shop?
It works at first, but the Business app gives you a catalogue, labels and saved replies. Move to it before volume grows, and keep customers' numbers in your own record.
Is a WhatsApp Business API needed?
Only when several agents must answer from one number or messages must be sent at scale. A small shop can stay on the Business app. Check the provider's current rules and costs before deciding.
How do we stop broadcasts feeling like spam?
Message only people who agreed to hear from you, make each message about something new, such as a festival range or a restock, and let anyone opt out with a single reply.
Can we post a status update about new arrivals?
Yes, status updates reach only people who have saved your number, so they suit new arrivals and festival stock. A status carries no private data and costs nothing. Keep each one about a single piece or look, with its size and price.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
