Inverter, UPS and generator dealers · WhatsApp marketing

The outage-week customer messages first, and the dealer who answers with a sized quote wins.

WhatsApp marketing for a power backup dealer is the use of a business number to receive enquiries, send sizing guidance and quotes, and remind installed customers about batteries and service. GullySales sets up the business profile, the replies and the reminder lists, and follows the platform's current rules.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For inverter, UPS and generator dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Customers send photos, not specifications”

The buyer sends a picture of the old inverter or a list of appliances and asks a price. A reply that asks for the number of fans, lights and backup hours, in one friendly message, gets a better quote than a bare price.

  • “Outage weeks overload one phone”

When supply fails across a locality, messages arrive together. A single personal number misses some, and the customer moves on. A business profile with a greeting, quick-reply answers and a named person on duty catches more of them.

  • “Quotes sent as a text lose their detail”

A line with a price and a brand, forwarded to a family member, loses the sizing explanation. A short formatted quote with load, backup hours, warranty and installation scope travels better and makes comparison with a cheaper offer fair.

  • “Reminders only work with consent”

A message about battery replacement or AMC is welcome from a dealer the customer chose. Messaging people who never asked risks complaints and a blocked number. Ask at the time of installation, and check the platform's current rules before any broadcast.

What we do

What we deliver for inverter, UPS and generator dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business profile and catalogue

A WhatsApp Business profile with address, hours, a short description and a catalogue of inverter, battery, UPS and generator lines.

Result: A new customer sees who you are and what you sell at a glance.

  2. Greeting and quick replies

Written replies for common questions: load check, battery price, installation visit, warranty and service.

Result: The first answer is consistent whichever staff member is on the phone.

  3. Sizing questions message

A single message that asks for appliances and backup hours, with a short explanation of why the quote depends on them.

Result: Quotes are based on the actual load.

  4. Quote template

A standard quote format for home, UPS and generator enquiries, covering capacity, brand, warranty, installation and AMC.

Result: Customers compare like with like.

  5. Consent-based reminder lists

Customers who agreed at installation, grouped by battery age and AMC end, with approved wording for each reminder.

Result: Reminders go to people who asked for them.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Capture and send these on WhatsApp when an outage-week customer messages first.

The customer messages when the power is out and answers with a number. A sized quote in the chat is what wins the order.

Appliance list or machine load
A saved reply asks for fans, lights, fridge and any pump or machine. It lets you size the unit before quoting.
Photograph of the old unit label
Ask for the label on the old inverter or battery. It gives make, rating and age, and tells you if a battery swap is enough.
Sized quote with the model
One message with the model, the battery and the price valid to a date. A screenshot of a price list sent to everyone invites bargaining.
Consent to future messages
Record that the customer agreed to battery and AMC reminders. Check the platform's current rules before you send reminder broadcasts.
Night and weekend message
A fixed reply that says when someone will call. Make it true, since a customer without light will not wait for a second answer.

Who it is for

This is written for these inverter, UPS and generator dealers.

  • Home inverter and battery dealers
  • Online UPS dealers for offices, clinics and IT setups
  • Diesel and gas generator dealers
  • Solar hybrid inverter and battery dealers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Nobody can reply at night during an outage, and a business number would show customers the silence.
  • Your phone book was collected without permission, so a broadcast would be reported and the number blocked.
  • You want a chatbot to quote prices, but your sizing needs a person to ask the right questions.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send offers to everyone in our phone book?
No. Send only to people who agreed to hear from you, and keep the offer relevant to what they bought. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging. A smaller consented list does better than a large unwilling one.
Do we need the paid API?
Not at the start. The WhatsApp Business app handles a small team. The API suits larger volumes, several agents and automated reminders. We help you decide by how many enquiries you handle and how many staff reply.
Who answers during the night?
Decide the hours on the profile and say them. An away message that states when someone replies is better than silence. For a generator or UPS customer with a fault, give a separate service number.
Who answers WhatsApp during a night outage?
Decide on a named person on call, or say clearly in the auto-reply when the morning call will happen. Do not promise a night response you cannot deliver. A customer who gets a clear message and a call when it was said will return.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
