Jewellery retailers · CRM
The record that remembers their daughter's wedding is worth more than any offer.
A CRM for a jewellery retailer is the customer history a family jeweller used to keep in memory: the occasions, the designs shown, the old gold exchanged and what the customer paid last time. GullySales sets those fields, gets the counter filling them, and turns the file into the reason they come back.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What CRM means
A CRM is the record where every enquiry, call and quote is kept against a customer, replacing separate notebooks, spreadsheets and memory. GullySales sets up or cleans an existing CRM and reports from it by enquiry outcome rather than by activity logged.

For jewellery retailers
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“The record is the family, not the buyer”
The mother buys for the daughter, the daughter returns for a child's naming ceremony. Linking a household in one record is what lets a salesperson say they remember the wedding set.
“Occasion dates are the most valuable field you hold”
A wedding anniversary, a birthday and a daughter's age tell you when to call. Nothing else in the record predicts a purchase as well, and almost no store captures it.
“Old gold exchanged is a purchase signal, not an accounting entry”
A customer who exchanged old jewellery is halfway to the next order. That transaction sits in the billing software, unread by anyone in sales, unless it is pulled into the customer record.
What we do
What we deliver for jewellery retailers.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
Customer records built around occasions
Wedding, anniversary and birthday dates recorded alongside the occasion each past purchase was for, so the calendar tells the store who to call.
Result: The reminder comes from the record, not from memory.
Purchase and exchange history in one place
Pieces bought, weight band, making charged and old gold exchanged pulled together from the billing system into the customer's file.
Result: A salesperson opens the file and knows the customer.
Designs shown and not bought, recorded
A note of the sets the customer looked at and rejected, and what they said about them, entered at the counter while it is fresh.
Result: The next call offers something they have not already turned down.
Savings scheme instalments visible to the counter
Each scheme member's standing and remaining instalments shown in the same record the salesperson uses at the counter.
Result: A member walking in is recognised before they say so.
Enquiry and sale linked across showrooms
An online or WhatsApp enquiry recorded against the branch it was answered from and the branch where the sale happened.
Result: You know which showroom is converting what.
How the result is measured
- Enquiries logged in the CRM
- Data completeness
- Reports generated from CRM data
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What to record, and when
What a jeweller should record about every family and occasion, and whether it needs software yet.
- Occasion and who it is for
- Record the wedding, engagement, anniversary, festival or gift, who the jewellery is for and the date the family needs it. The date drives what you show and when you call next.
- Designs shown and not bought
- Note the sets, solitaires or bangles shown, with the design code, and which one they lingered over. When you call before the next festival, you can say you have a similar piece, not simply 'we have new stock'.
- Old gold exchanged and what was credited
- Record the old gold or ornament brought, the rate and purity agreed at the time and where the credit was applied. This is the first thing a family asks about at the next visit.
- Making charges and hallmark details quoted
- Write the making-charge basis you quoted and the hallmarking on the pieces sold. Families compare these across showrooms, so being able to read back what you said builds trust.
- Savings scheme instalments
- If the family is in a savings scheme, show instalments paid and the maturity date to the counter. Check the rules that apply to your scheme with your own adviser, since such schemes are regulated.
- Do you need software yet?
- A billing system is not a customer file. A sheet is enough for a single-showroom jeweller where the owner knows the families. Move to a CRM when several showrooms share customers. Limit who can open the exchange and purchase history.
Who it is for
This is written for these jewellery retailers.
- Bridal and wedding jewellery showrooms
- Gold and diamond jewellery retail chains
- Silver and artificial jewellery stores
- Certified diamond and solitaire retailers
- Traditional and antique jewellery stores
- Single-showroom family jewellers
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- Billing, schemes and enquiries sit in three separate books and the showroom has not agreed which one holds the customer.
- Staff would not enter a customer's occasion dates, and a record without them gives no reason to call.
How it works
How the CRM work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Map the sales process
We sit with the people who sell and write down how a deal moves from enquiry to payment, including where it stalls.
- 2
Agree stages, fields and owners
Each stage gets a name your team already uses and a proof that the deal has left it. We agree which fields are required at which stage, and who may change what.
- 3
Build on a copy
Pipeline, fields and views are built on a trial copy where the CRM offers one, or in a separate pipeline where the plan allows. Live work stays untouched.
- 4
Connect channels, then switch on automations
Channels are connected first. Each automation is then switched on separately, so a misfiring rule is easy to find.
- 5
Test with real deals
The people who will use the CRM run open deals through it. Gaps are fixed before the whole team switches over.
- 6
Switch over and trim
Once real use shows which fields stay empty and which stages nobody uses, those are cut and the handover record is updated.
Where this fits
