Plumbing and sanitaryware distributors · Digital marketing

Plan the online work around the retailer's phone call, not around clicks.

Digital marketing for a plumbing and sanitaryware distributor covers every online place a retailer, plumber or builder checks before ringing: Maps, search, JustDial, IndiaMART, WhatsApp and your website. GullySales works on setting those places right first and linking each to an order desk that answers.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For plumbing and sanitaryware distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The buyer is deciding whom to ring”

A plumber short of a fitting looks up distributors near the site on Maps and rings the first one showing a number that works. The digital work that counts is whatever appears on that screen.

  • “A directory enquiry goes to whoever replies first”

An IndiaMART or JustDial enquiry reaches several distributors together. The one that answers with brand, size and a rate holds the conversation. A listing with nobody watching it teaches buyers to ignore you.

  • “Paid ads can reach the wrong reader”

A householder searching for a bathroom set is not your trade buyer, and a click from another district is one you cannot serve under your brand's territory. Aim any paid work at the areas and buyers you are allowed to supply.

  • “Each channel needs one owner”

Maps, JustDial, IndiaMART, WhatsApp and the website are five places where a buyer can leave a message. With nobody responsible for each, enquiries are answered by whoever happens to see them, and some are not seen at all.

What we do

What we deliver for plumbing and sanitaryware distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An audit of every place your name appears

Each listing, directory entry and social page checked for name, address, brands and number.

Result: You hold a list of every listing, its status and who watches it.

  2. Maps, JustDial and IndiaMART corrected

The three main entries made to match each other and your real range.

Result: The same name, brands and number show on all three.

  3. A reply rota

A named person for each channel and each shift at the order desk.

Result: Every channel has someone answerable for it.

  4. An enquiry source register

Each enquiry logged with the place it came from, and the first order tied back to it.

Result: The owner can see which channel brought which account.

  5. A territory-aware ad plan

Paid search or social work limited to areas you may supply, ready to pause if nobody can answer the response.

Result: Ads run only where an order can be delivered.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Where a retailer or contractor looks before ringing, and what they find about you.

Plumbing distributor in your town
The Maps listing shows your counter address, hours, brands carried and the order desk number. A shop deciding whom to ring picks the one that answers first.
Brand name plus distributor
The page lists only brands you are appointed for. Check the brand's rules before using its name, and link to the brand's own site for the full range.
Wholesale pipe and fittings supplier
A search by a new shop owner. The page names the products, the towns you supply and how to open an account.
Builder plumbing material supplier
A project buyer's search. The page lists project supply terms, approved makes and a way to send a quantity list as a file.
Directory listings that carry your number
JustDial and IndiaMART entries that show the same name, address and number as the Maps listing, so an enquiry through any of them reaches the order desk.

Who it is for

This is written for these plumbing and sanitaryware distributors.

  • CPVC, UPVC and SWR pipe and fittings distributors
  • Sanitaryware and CP fittings distributors
  • Water tank and storage distributors
  • Multi-brand plumbing wholesalers supplying sub-dealers
  • Distributors with a bathroom showroom and a trade counter
  • Project suppliers to builders and contractors
  • Valve, pump and water heater stockists
  • District sub-distributors and stockists

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You cannot answer directory enquiries the same day, so paid listings would send buyers to the next distributor.
  • Your supply area is narrow and your retailers already order from you, so reach beyond the area would bring calls you cannot serve.
  • No one is named to own each channel, and unowned listings show old numbers.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a distributor spend first?
On the places already sending enquiries: the Maps listing, the directory entries and the phone. Correct and answer those before paying for anything new.
Do we need ads?
Not to begin with. Ads bring enquiries, and enquiries need a reply. Once the order desk answers every directory message and Maps call, ads aimed at your supply area are worth testing. Check the platform's current rules before you start.
How do we find out which channel works?
Ask each new buyer how they found you and write it in the register at the first order. Set those answers against the channels you maintain.
Should we pay for IndiaMART or JustDial?
First correct the free listing and check how many of its enquiries you replied to. Paid listings bring calls from buyers outside your delivery area as well, so decide your supply towns before paying and ask the platform for its current terms.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
