GullySales

Retailers · Email marketing

For most shops WhatsApp wins, and email earns its place in two cases.

Email for a shop matters where the purchase is big enough to be thought about, such as furniture, electronics or jewellery, and where nearby offices buy in bulk. GullySales works out whether your store is one of those, builds the list from billing and writes what gets opened.

A post room: a wall rack of pigeonholes with sorted letters and strapped bundles, a loaded mail trolley wheeled up in front of it, and on the bench a franking machine with one envelope under the press arm, franked and cleared

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • A daily needs shop should not be sending email

If the basket is small and the visit is weekly, WhatsApp and the counter do everything. Better to say so than to build a list nobody reads.

  • A considered purchase leaves a gap to fill

Somebody comparing a washing machine or a sofa takes a week to decide. Email is where the price, the warranty and a comparison can wait for them.

  • Offices a kilometre away buy in bulk

A company buying Diwali gifts, uniforms or appliances works in an inbox and will not be reached on a WhatsApp status.

  • An address outlives a phone number

A business number can be restricted or blocked. An address collected with consent belongs to the shop and survives a change of phone.

What we do

What we deliver for retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An honest decision about whether this is for you

A look at basket size, how often people buy and whether you hold any addresses at all, made before anything is built.

Result: You do not spend months on a channel your shop does not need.

  2. A list collected with consent at billing

Addresses taken at the counter or at delivery for the purchases worth following up, with the permission recorded against each.

Result: The list belongs to the shop and is safe to use.

  3. A follow-up for considered purchases

A short mail after a visit with the models compared, the price, the warranty and the exchange terms, for shoppers who left to think.

Result: The comparison happens with your figures in front of them.

  4. A bulk offer written for nearby offices

A one-page offer for gifting, uniforms or appliances, sent to the admin contacts at companies within a few kilometres.

Result: Bulk orders come from buyers who never walk in.

  5. Service, warranty and reminder mails

Notes when a service is due, a warranty is ending or a product needs a check, for the categories where that applies.

Result: The customer comes back to you and not to a service shop.

  6. Opens, replies and returning customers tracked

What was opened, what was answered and who came back into the shop, read against the position before the list existed.

Result: The channel is kept or dropped on evidence.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these retailers.

  • Apparel and footwear stores
  • Electronics and appliance retailers
  • Grocery and kirana stores
  • Home decor and furnishing stores
  • Jewellery and gifting retailers
  • Multi-brand outlet stores

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for retailers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your reviews, whether customer numbers are captured at billing, and how repeat customers are currently reached, if at all.

  2. 2

    Fix the profile

Google Business Profile completed with current photographs, hours and categories, kept correct through every festive change in timing or stock.

  3. 3

    Build the repeat-customer list

A simple way to capture a phone number at billing, and a WhatsApp catalogue that goes out for new arrivals and festive offers.

  4. 4

    Bring shoppers in

Local search, reviews from real customers, and festive-season campaigns timed to when the buying actually happens.

  5. 5

    Keep them coming back

A reminder to a customer who has not returned in a while, and a loyalty offer for the ones who shop most often.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is email dead for retail in India?
For a daily needs shop, effectively yes. For furniture, electronics, jewellery and anything a family discusses for a week it still works, and for offices buying in bulk it is the only channel they will use.
Can we send the same message on WhatsApp and email?
No. WhatsApp is short and immediate. Email is where the detail goes: the comparison, the warranty, the delivery terms. Sending the same text to both makes one of them pointless.
Do we need to advertise?
Not most of the year. A current Maps listing and a WhatsApp list catch the near-me searches already happening. Paid ads earn their place in the fortnight before Diwali or a big sale, when you want extra footfall fast.
Should we also sell on Amazon and Flipkart?
Sometimes, for goods that ship well and where you can match online prices. Many local stores do better leaning on what a website cannot offer: trying before buying, and an exchange at the counter. We look at your margins in the audit before suggesting either.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
