Retailers · Local SEO

Win the near-me search that happens while a shopper is already out.

Local SEO for a shop is the near-me result that decides which of the stores on a road somebody walks into. GullySales completes the Business Profile with the categories, photographs and hours a shopper checks, keeps festival timings correct and works the reviews sitting beside them.

A market cross in a small town square: a stepped stone cross of four worn tiers standing in a ring of cobbles, a coil of stall rope left on the bottom step, a chalk pitch marked out on the stones and a chalk arrow pointing in from the nearest lane

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The search happens on the road, not at home

Somebody already out with an hour to spare is choosing between two shops on a phone. Whoever looks open, stocked and well rated gets them.

  • The shopfront photograph is how they recognise you

A shopper walking down the road matches the photograph to the board. An interior shot with no shopfront makes them walk straight past.

  • Festival hours are the point of the listing

The evenings before Diwali and Rakhi are when a shop earns, and they are also when the timings on the listing are most often wrong.

  • A shop in a mall needs a floor and a landmark

Level two, near the escalator, past the food court. Without that, people give up inside a building they do not know.

What we do

What we deliver for retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete profile with the right categories

Primary and secondary categories, the brands held, products listed, and services such as alterations, exchange or home delivery.

Result: The shop appears for what it actually sells.

  2. Photographs of the shopfront, shelves and counter

The board seen from the road, the inside as it looks today, the parking and the billing counter, refreshed whenever the store changes.

Result: A shopper recognises the place and walks in.

  3. Hours, festival timings and the weekly off

Regular hours, extended festive evenings, holidays and any early closing entered before the day rather than after it.

Result: Nobody arrives to find the shutter down.

  4. Posts when stock and offers change

Short posts for new arrivals, sale dates and festival timings, put up in the week they matter and not afterwards.

Result: The listing shows a shop that is open and trading.

  5. Directions that work inside a mall or market

Floor, landmark, nearest entrance and parking written into the profile, with the map pin checked on the ground.

Result: Shoppers find the door without ringing you.

  6. Visibility and actions reported monthly

How many searches showed the shop, and the calls, direction requests and website taps that followed, against the audit figures.

Result: You can see whether the listing is producing visits.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these retailers.

  • Apparel and footwear stores
  • Electronics and appliance retailers
  • Grocery and kirana stores
  • Home decor and furnishing stores
  • Jewellery and gifting retailers
  • Multi-brand outlet stores

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for retailers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your reviews, whether customer numbers are captured at billing, and how repeat customers are currently reached, if at all.

  2. 2

    Fix the profile

Google Business Profile completed with current photographs, hours and categories, kept correct through every festive change in timing or stock.

  3. 3

    Build the repeat-customer list

A simple way to capture a phone number at billing, and a WhatsApp catalogue that goes out for new arrivals and festive offers.

  4. 4

    Bring shoppers in

Local search, reviews from real customers, and festive-season campaigns timed to when the buying actually happens.

  5. 5

    Keep them coming back

A reminder to a customer who has not returned in a while, and a loyalty offer for the ones who shop most often.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our pin is in the wrong place on the map.
It can be corrected, and it matters more than most owners think. A pin a hundred metres out in a crowded market sends people to a neighbour's door, and they do not come back.
We have two branches. Do they need separate listings?
Yes. Each shutter gets a listing of its own, with the photographs, timings and reviews that belong to it. One listing stretched across two addresses sends half your shoppers to the wrong road.
Do we need to advertise?
Not most of the year. A current Maps listing and a WhatsApp list catch the near-me searches already happening. Paid ads earn their place in the fortnight before Diwali or a big sale, when you want extra footfall fast.
Should we also sell on Amazon and Flipkart?
Sometimes, for goods that ship well and where you can match online prices. Many local stores do better leaning on what a website cannot offer: trying before buying, and an exchange at the counter. We look at your margins in the audit before suggesting either.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
