Cloud and DevOps service companies · Lead generation

Know which door each project came through, and answer all of them.

Lead generation for a cloud and DevOps firm is getting the right engineering and IT heads to ask for an assessment, then recording where each request came from and how it was answered. GullySales sets up the sources that are real for this trade, vendor referrals, forms, calls, communities and introductions, and keeps one record of all of them.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For cloud and DevOps service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Vendor referrals go cold in a day”

A partner manager gives the customer three firms, and the one that replies with a named engineer and a short plan is the one that gets the call.

  • “An outage call arrives out of hours”

A CTO in the middle of an incident messages every firm he knows, and whichever picks up first has a chance at a retainer. Nobody was assigned to the phone.

  • “Meet-up conversations are never written down”

A promising talk at a Bengaluru meet-up becomes a business card in a pocket, and the follow-up depends on who remembers.

What we do

What we deliver for cloud and DevOps service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An assessment request form that qualifies

Which cloud, how many engineers, what happened that made them ask, who signs and when a decision is due, so the first call starts from facts.

Result: Your engineers stop spending a day on prospects who only wanted a quote.

  2. A routine for vendor-referred leads

The partner manager's name, the customer, the vendor programme and the date the lead arrived, logged and acknowledged, with registration done where the vendor asks for it.

Result: No vendor lead sits unanswered.

  3. An out-of-hours route for urgent calls

A number and a rota for calls that sound like a live incident, with one question to separate an emergency from an assessment request, and a log entry either way.

Result: The caller in trouble reaches a person.

  4. A capture routine for events and communities

Every conversation at a meet-up or conference noted the same day with the topic discussed, the stack and the promised next step, and entered in the CRM.

Result: Conversations turn into follow-ups instead of cards in a drawer.

  5. Qualification rules written down

What makes an enquiry worth an engineer's time: a cloud account or server estate, a named trigger, a person who can sign and a decision date.

Result: Salespeople and engineers agree on what a good lead is.

  6. Source and outcome reporting

Enquiries by source, assessments held and projects signed, with lost leads given a reason, reported against the baseline recorded before work began.

Result: You can put effort where the signed projects come from.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The doors a cloud or DevOps enquiry comes through, and what to record and say at each.

Referral from the cloud vendor's partner team
Record the vendor, the partner manager and the customer. Reply with a named engineer and a plan for the first call, then register the deal if the vendor's programme asks for it.
Assessment form on your website
Capture the cloud in use, team size, the trigger and who signs. Reply to the person, not to a generic address, and say what happens at the first call.
A call or message that sounds like an outage
Ask first whether it is live right now. If it is, get an engineer on it and agree terms afterwards. Log every such call with the cause, because each one is a retainer conversation.
Enquiry through Clutch, GoodFirms or a vendor marketplace
Tag the listing as the source. These lists attract comparison shoppers and students, so ask three questions on the first reply before an engineer joins any call.
Introduction by an investor or another founder
Record who introduced and why. Thank them and tell them the outcome. A warm introduction handled badly stops the next one.
A new project from an existing client
Log it as a new enquiry from a current account, with who inside the client asked. Expansion work is the cheapest source you have, and the one most firms never count.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the lead generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we buy a list of CTOs and IT heads?
No. Such lists are out of date and people on them did not ask to be contacted. A CTO who gets a cold pitch for something unrelated to a live problem deletes it. India's data protection law also expects a lawful basis for using personal details, so check with your adviser.
A student filled in the assessment form. Does it count?
Not as a lead. Mark it as a non-buyer with the reason, and keep a note of how many arrive so you can improve the form. A field asking which cloud account or server estate they run filters most of them.
The same company reaches us through three people. Is that three leads?
One account with three contacts. Merge the records, note who raised each, and tell the salesperson who owns the account. Several people asking independently often means a decision is close.
What makes an enquiry qualified?
A real estate to work on, such as a cloud account or a server room, a named trigger, someone who can sign or influence the signature, and a rough decision date. Missing two of these means nurture, not a call from an engineer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
