Game development studios · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp for brand clients and testers, with permission and short messages.

WhatsApp for a game studio is where brand managers review builds, testers receive links and agency producers settle changes. GullySales works on message routines, tester groups and permission records.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For game development studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Brand clients review builds on their phones”

A manager receives an APK or a test link on WhatsApp and replies with comments. Clear instructions for installing, and one place for feedback, prevent lost comments.

  • “Tester groups can go quiet”

A group of testers becomes silent when messages are unclear or too frequent. A short note per build, with what to test, keeps the group active.

  • “Publishers use email and LinkedIn first”

Do not message a publisher on WhatsApp unless they offered. Respect the channel they chose. WhatsApp suits clients and testers, where a number was shared willingly.

  • “Group chats blur scope”

Requests in a client group can pile up. A habit of logging each request in a separate list, with a decision on version or extra fee, avoids disputes.

What we do

What we deliver for game development studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A build-sharing message template

A short message with the link, install steps, devices tested and one place for feedback.

Result: A template ready for each build.

  2. A tester group routine

A note per build on what changed and what to test, with a thank-you after feedback.

Result: A tester group note for each build.

  3. A client group etiquette note

A note that says how change requests are logged and answered.

Result: A change log kept outside the chat.

  4. A permission record

A list of numbers that agreed to receive messages, with the date and how they agreed.

Result: A consent record for every number.

  5. Saved replies for common questions

Replies on platforms supported, devices tested, file size and where to report a bug.

Result: A set of saved replies.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should we use WhatsApp broadcasts for players?
Only for people who agreed to receive them, and check the platform's current rules. For a wider audience, Discord or a store page may suit better. Always make it easy to leave.
Is WhatsApp safe for sharing builds?
Use it for test builds that the client expects to receive. Avoid sharing unreleased builds with people outside the agreement, and check your contracts for confidentiality terms.
How do we keep client chats from getting messy?
Agree at the start how feedback will be given, such as one thread per build. Move decisions into a short written summary after each review.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
