IoT companies · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the problem the buyer types, not for the word IoT.

SEO for an IoT company is the work of making pages that answer the searches of owners who describe a loss, such as fuel going missing or a chiller failing overnight. GullySales works on page structure, wording and internal links so each setting you serve has a page worth finding.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For IoT companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers rarely type the technology”

A dairy owner searches for a milk chiller temperature alarm, and a transporter searches for a way to stop diesel theft. Neither types a protocol or a platform name. Pages titled by technology answer a question nobody is asking.

  • “Device makers and solution firms share one results page”

Search for IoT sensors and you get marketplace listings, platform vendors and installers together. A solution firm needs pages that make clear it installs, supports and answers the phone, so the buyer with a site can tell it apart from a parts seller.

  • “Regional language search is a separate field”

A pump operator or a farm owner may search in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi or Hindi, and the results differ from English. A page written for that search stands a chance where an English page has no reader at all.

What we do

What we deliver for IoT companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Problem-first page plan

A list of searches grouped by loss and by setting, each mapped to one page, so two pages do not compete for the same phrase.

Result: Each page has one job and one search it is written for.

  2. Setting pages with proper titles and headings

Page titles, headings and opening lines rewritten in the buyer's words for cold chain, fleets, tanks, machines and farms.

Result: A searcher can read the title and know the page describes their problem.

  3. Internal links between problem and proof

Links from each setting page to the matching installation photographs, pilot offer and running-cost note.

Result: A visitor moves from a problem to evidence and a next step without hunting.

  4. Regional language page versions

Main setting pages written in the local language of the region, with the title and description in that language.

Result: Search in the regional language lands on a page written for it.

  5. Technical clean-up of the site

A check of page speed on a phone, broken links, duplicate pages and missing descriptions, with a fix list.

Result: The owner holds a list of faults found and fixed on the site.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should our pages use the word IoT at all?
Use it where the buyer would, such as a heading that says what the system is. Lead each page with the loss and the setting, and mention the technology further down for the engineer who checks. The first screen should speak to the owner.
Can you promise that we will rank first?
No. Rankings depend on competitors and on search engines, and nobody can promise a position. GullySales works on page quality, structure and wording, and shows the owner what changed so progress can be checked page by page.
Do spec sheets and manuals help search?
Yes, when they are real pages with readable text instead of images or locked files. A technician searching for a mounting guide or a model sheet is a buyer too, and a text page lets that search find you.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
