IT hardware resellers and system integrators · Search engine optimisation

Appear when a buyer searches for the brand, the product and the city together.

SEO for an IT hardware reseller is the work of making pages that match a buyer's search for a brand, a product and a city, so a quotation request starts at your site. GullySales works on page structure, partner proof and the technical base of the site, with no promise of rank.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For IT hardware resellers and system integrators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search by brand, model and city”

A purchase officer types the OEM, the product line and the city. A site with one page titled Products does not answer, while a page for that brand and that city does.

  • “The authorised status is a search signal and a trust signal”

A buyer checks whether the reseller is an authorised partner before asking for a price. A page that states the partner status you hold and links to the proof is read and believed.

  • “Product pages go stale as models change”

A page for a model the OEM has retired sends a buyer to a competitor. Pages need an owner who retires or updates them when the product line moves.

  • “Price is not shown, so the page must make the quote easy”

Hardware prices change with the distributor, so the page cannot list them. It can state what a quote contains and give a single route to ask for one.

What we do

What we deliver for IT hardware resellers and system integrators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each brand you hold

The authorisation you can document, the product lines supplied, the cities served and a link to the enquiry route, one page per OEM.

Result: A search for brand and city finds a named local partner.

  2. Product-type pages

Laptops, servers, networking, storage and surveillance as separate pages, each describing what the buyer should specify and what the quote will show.

Result: A buyer lands on the page that matches the purchase.

  3. A technical review of the site

Page speed, mobile layout, indexing and broken links checked and listed with the fixes.

Result: Search engines can read every page you meant them to.

  4. An update routine for retired models

A list of pages with an owner and a check against OEM announcements, so retired products are redirected or updated.

Result: Buyers do not land on a discontinued product.

  5. An enquiry path from each page

One quotation form asking for make, model, quantity and city, linked from every product page.

Result: Each search visit has a clear next step.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can a reseller outrank the OEM's own website?
For the OEM's own product names, seldom. The reseller competes on the combination of brand, city and service, where a local partner page is the better match for a buyer who wants it delivered and supported.
Should we publish prices on the site?
Distributor rates move, so a published price goes stale and creates an argument. State what a quote includes, the warranty terms and how the reply is made, and keep the figure for the quotation.
Does a long list of product pages help?
Only if each page serves a different purchase. Pages with the same text for ten models are weak. Group by brand and product type and write what is true for each.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
