Industrial automation companies · Email marketing

Write to the plants you commissioned before somebody else does.

Email for an integrator is how the installed base hears about obsolescence, spares, software versions and contract renewals before a breakdown decides it. GullySales builds the list from your commissioning records and times each send to warranty and budget dates.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For industrial automation companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your installed base is the best list you own”

Every line you commissioned has a controller version, a warranty date and an engineer who already trusts you.

  • “Maintenance contracts are lost by silence”

Nobody rings the plant, the year passes, and the next breakdown call goes to whoever answers fastest.

  • “Budget months decide the send”

Capital spending is fixed in the weeks before the financial year, and that is when an upgrade note gets read.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial automation companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An installed base record behind every mail

Every commissioned line with its controller, software version, warranty date and the engineer who did the work, kept in one place.

Result: You can write to the right plants on any subject.

  2. An obsolescence notice by controller family

A short note to the plants running a family going out of support, with the risk, the spares position and the migration options.

Result: The upgrade conversation starts before a failure.

  3. Maintenance renewal notes with dates

A mail before each warranty or contract expiry, covering what it includes, response times and the price, early enough to be budgeted.

Result: Renewals stop depending on somebody remembering.

  4. A note timed to the capex months

One upgrade idea sent while plant heads are fixing next year's capital budget, with the payback arithmetic attached.

Result: You are in the plan before the tender.

  5. A spares and software bulletin

Version updates, recommended spares and end-of-life parts sent to the maintenance heads on your installed base.

Result: Maintenance heads keep your mail in a folder.

  6. Replies and enquiries tracked by list

What each send produced, counted as replies, enquiries and quotes rather than opens, against the baseline taken before the work starts.

Result: You write more of what got answered.

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What an automation company needs in place before it emails plants and OEMs.

A commissioning record per plant
Log each site with the controller or drive make and model, the firmware or software version, the commissioning date and the warranty end. Obsolescence mail only works when it names the real part.
Technical and commercial contacts separated
The maintenance head cares about spares and downtime. The plant head cares about throughput and budgets. The purchase officer cares about price and terms. Tag each, and write to one with one message.
Technical notes reviewed by an engineer
Any mail on obsolescence, firmware or safety must be checked by an application engineer before it goes out. A wrong part number in a bulk mail is hard to withdraw.
Brand and partner documents in order
If you are an authorised channel partner, keep your partner status and the brand's current datasheets and notices in files you may share. Do not use a brand's logo or claims beyond your agreement.
A reply route to the service desk
Add a support number beside the address, and route replies to a person who can open a ticket. A maintenance head reading a spares notice during a breakdown will reply at once.

Who it is for

This is written for these industrial automation companies.

  • PLC, SCADA and HMI system integrators
  • Control panel and MCC panel builders
  • Robotics and pick-and-place integrators
  • Special purpose machine builders
  • Process automation and DCS integrators
  • Industrial IoT, MES and energy monitoring providers
  • Authorised channel partners and distributors of automation brands
  • Drive, motion control and servo specialists
  • Retrofit and migration specialists for old control systems

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no list of the plants you commissioned, with contact names, so there is no one to write to yet.
  • Your engineers have not agreed to share the contacts they hold, so the list would be incomplete and out of date.
  • Your installed base is too small to justify a regular mail, and a phone call to each plant would serve better.

How it works

How the email marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, what they agreed to, and how long since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We read past campaign reports, your sending domain settings and any spam complaints to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into groups and a sending calendar is agreed, with a rule for unsubscribes and quiet addresses.

  4. 4

    Write and set up

Emails are written, checked and scheduled in your email tool. Welcome and nurture emails are set to send on a trigger where that fits.

  5. 5

    Measure and adjust

We read clicks, replies, enquiries and complaints by segment, and change subject lines, timing and content to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

What do we send a plant that is not buying?
An obsolescence notice, a software update or a spares list. It is useful, so it gets kept.
Is email better than a phone call here?
Email carries the documents a plant needs for approval. The call follows it, not the other way round.
Can we email a plant's maintenance staff we met during a service call?
Write to the staff member who gave you their address for service, with a note relevant to their equipment, and an opt-out. Do not forward their address to colleagues for sales mail. Use the plant head for commercial offers.
What should an obsolescence mail include?
Name the part, the date the maker stops support, the replacement path, and a rough scope for a retrofit. Offer a site audit. Avoid alarm. The maintenance head wants to plan a shutdown, not feel pressured.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
