Software development companies · Website

Your website should answer a stranger's doubts about a product they cannot yet see.

A website for a software development company is where a founder or an SME owner decides whether to book a call, so it has to show domain focus, real proof and a clear next step. GullySales plans the pages, the NDA-safe case studies and the enquiry path with your team.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What website means

A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

For software development companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A list of technologies is not a reason to hire”

Home pages that open with logos for React, Node and cloud services read like every other firm. The visitor is asking whether you have solved a problem like theirs. Lead with the domain, the problem and a project, and keep the stack on a supporting page.

  • “Small public apps undersell the work under NDA”

If the strongest builds are confidential, the portfolio shows weaker apps. Anonymised case studies can describe the problem, the architecture choices and the result, with a reference call offered. A named version appears only where the client agreed in writing.

  • “Different visitors need different entry pages”

A funded founder wants an MVP page, an SME owner wants a business-system page and a stranded client wants a rescue and audit page. One generic services page makes all three work to find themselves. Each should land on a page that names their situation.

  • “The page should say how engagement starts”

Visitors fear open-ended cost. A page that explains paid discovery, what it produces and how a fixed price or time-and-material contract follows lets the buyer picture the first step. Without it, the only action offered is a vague contact form.

What we do

What we deliver for software development companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Page plan by domain and situation

A written map of the home page, domain pages, startup, SME and rescue pages, and how each links to a case study and an enquiry.

Result: Each visitor type has a page that names their problem.

  2. NDA-safe case study pages

Case studies written with the problem, approach and result, using anonymised details where needed, with a reference-call option.

Result: Your best work can appear without breaking a promise.

  3. Engagement and discovery explainer

A page describing paid discovery, the engagement models and what the buyer receives at each step.

Result: A visitor can see what the first step is and what it produces.

  4. Team and process pages

Pages that show who will build the product, how updates are shared and how change requests are handled.

Result: The buyer sees the people and the method behind the delivery.

  5. Enquiry path and tracking

A short enquiry form, a booking option and a way to record which page each enquiry came from.

Result: You can see which pages bring serious enquiries.

  6. Technical and performance housekeeping

Checks on page speed, mobile display, structured data and indexing for the pages above.

Result: Technical faults are listed and fixed in order.

How the result is measured

  • Page load time
  • Bounce rate
  • Enquiries from the website

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

The searches a software buyer runs, and the page on your site that answers each.

custom software development company India
A services page stating what you build, how an engagement starts and who the client talks to. Keep the claims to what you have delivered.
software development cost estimate
A page on what moves a scope and how you estimate, without a published price. It answers the founder asking what drives cost.
hire dedicated developers offshore
A page for overseas buyers on team set-up, time-zone overlap and how code and access pass to the client.
software rescue and takeover
A page for stalled projects describing how you audit existing code and what you tell the client before a contract.
software for logistics companies
A domain page naming the processes you have built for, in words that do not reveal the client.
software company with NDA
A page about how you handle confidentiality, who sees the idea and how a case study is written without naming the client.

Who it is for

This is written for these software development companies.

  • Custom software development companies
  • Mobile app developers for Android and iOS
  • Product engineering firms working with startups
  • IT consultants and technology advisers
  • SaaS product companies selling to Indian businesses
  • Offshore development centres serving overseas clients
  • Firms specialising in one domain, such as healthcare, logistics or fintech
  • Low-code and automation developers
  • Software firms bidding for government work on GeM

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no case study you may publish and no process to describe, so the pages would be empty claims.
  • Your focus is not yet decided, and the structure would change within a month.
  • Nobody can answer the enquiry form the same working day.

How it works

How the website work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm structure and content

We agree the page list, what each page must answer, and who supplies the text and photographs, before any design starts.

  2. 2

    Design the templates

The home page, a service page, a location page and the enquiry page are designed first, on phone and desktop, and shown to you.

  3. 3

    Build and test

The site is built and checked on real phones and the common browsers. Every form, call button and WhatsApp link is tested end to end.

  4. 4

    Load real content

Actual copy, images and information replace placeholders. Pages are read through once by you, since you spot wrong details we cannot.

  5. 5

    Check before launch

Tracking, page titles, the sitemap and the privacy page are checked on the staging site. If an old site exists, its addresses are mapped so old links still land somewhere.

  6. 6

    Launch and hand over access

The site goes live and we record the domain, hosting, content login and analytics in your name. The first live enquiry is traced to confirm tracking works.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a case study for every project?
No. Write fewer, better ones around the domains you want more work in. A case study is judged on how clearly it describes the problem and decisions, not on the client's logo.
Should the website show prices?
Fixed prices on a build invite the two-line-idea quote you are trying to avoid. Show how pricing works instead: the paid discovery stage, the engagement models and what changes a quote.
Is a blog needed on a software firm's website?
Writing helps when it answers a buyer's question in your chosen domain, such as how to plan an MVP or how to leave a failed vendor. Write only on topics where your team has real experience.
Should we show our team's names and photographs?
Show the people a client will meet, with their consent: the delivery lead and the engineers on current work. A founder wants to know who will build. Do not show anyone who is leaving, and keep the page current, since an out-of-date team page costs trust.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
