Tree service companies · Branding

Look like a company with a crane, not a man with a chainsaw.

Branding for a tree service is what a homeowner decides about you from the truck in the drive, the shirt on the crew and the estimate handed over. GullySales puts your credentials on all three and builds an estimate document a cheaper bid cannot match.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For tree service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The chipper on the street is the advertisement

Neighbours come out to watch a removal, and a plain white truck with no name on it wastes an audience you were paid to gather.

  • A number on the back of a card is your competition

The uninsured bid arrives handwritten, so a printed estimate carrying photographs and a certificate of insurance makes the argument without saying a word.

  • Crew shirts settle the question at the door

A homeowner about to let five men with saws into the back yard is looking for a uniform before they are looking for a price.

What we do

What we deliver for tree service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A mark that reads on a truck door at speed

A name and logo drawn to be read from a passing car and from a yard sign, with the versions needed for shirts, hats and the chipper.

Result: The equipment on the street starts earning work.

  2. Truck, chipper and yard sign lettering

Lettering laid out for every vehicle and for the signs left at a finished job, carrying the phone number, the town and your credential line.

Result: Three neighbours find out who did the work.

  3. An estimate document nobody else in your market sends

A template with photographs of the tree, the scope, the clean-up, the protection and the insurance certificate, ready the same day as the visit.

Result: The cheapest bid stops looking like the same piece of work.

  4. A credential file that is current

Insurance certificates, workers' compensation, arborist credentials and any registration your firm holds, kept in one place your office updates on renewal.

Result: The proof is ready before anyone thinks to ask.

  5. Crew shirts and an arrival routine

Shirts, hats and a short script for the foreman at the door, covering where the truck parks and what the crew will do first.

Result: A homeowner stops watching nervously from the window.

  6. One name everywhere a homeowner checks

Site, map listing, invoice, truck and review profiles all showing the same name, the same number and the same service area.

Result: Nobody wonders whether they called the right company.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for tree service companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we go through last season's estimates. How many were written down, how many were chased, and what the win rate looked like against the cheapest bid?

  2. 2

    Put the credentials in front

Insurance certificates, arborist qualifications and photographs of real removals placed where a homeowner sees them before they think to ask.

  3. 3

    Write and chase the estimate

A same-day written estimate with photographs, and a follow-up routine that runs past the week the tree was looked at.

  4. 4

    Fill the calendar

Local search, storm pages, neighbourhood groups and advertising aimed at the homeowner in the months between storms.

  5. 5

    Build the contract work

Boards, property managers, builders and solar installers approached on a calendar, so the crews have work when the weather is dull.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we call ourselves certified arborists in our advertising?
Only for credentials your people actually hold, and only in the words the issuing body allows. Some states also license tree work separately, and the registration at risk is yours rather than ours. Confirm the current wording with your state board or your association before it goes on a truck.
Is a rebrand worth it for a two-crew company?
Rarely. A legible name on the equipment, matching shirts and a proper estimate document do nearly all of the work. Change the name only when it is stopping people finding you, or when it says something you no longer do.
How do we stop losing bids to uninsured crews?
Put the proof in front of the homeowner before the price. A certificate of insurance attached to the estimate, and a line about what happens if a limb goes through a roof, does more than arguing about the other quote. Some homeowners will still take the cheap bid, and those were never your customers.
Storm weeks bring more work than we can do. Should we still advertise?
Yes, but not for removal. Advertising in a storm week is better spent on the work that gets scheduled later: pruning, plant health care and inspections. The emergency calls arrive anyway, and a crew already booked solid does not need more of them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
