Tree service companies · Email marketing

Your past customers still own other trees, and nobody writes to them.

Email for a tree service reaches property managers, HOA boards and the homeowners whose trees you have already worked on. GullySales builds the list out of your invoices, writes the seasonal notes and times the commercial approach to the month a contract comes up for renewal.

A post room: a wall rack of pigeonholes with sorted letters and strapped bundles, a loaded mail trolley wheeled up in front of it, and on the bench a franking machine with one envelope under the press arm, franked and cleared

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For tree service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The invoice file is the list

Every homeowner you have ever billed owns a yard with more trees in it, and most tree companies have never once written to them.

  • Property managers decide in an inbox

A board or a management company will not take a cold call, so the way in is a short email in the months before the contract is signed again.

  • The storm-week callers you turned away

Everyone who rang while your crews were buried got a no, and a note before the next season reaches them ahead of anybody else.

What we do

What we deliver for tree service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A customer list built out of your invoices

Names, addresses, the work done and the date, pulled out of the billing system and kept somewhere the office can actually send from.

Result: You can write to everyone who has paid you.

  2. A plant health care note timed to the season

A short email to past customers when treatment or feeding is due where you work, offering an inspection rather than a quote out of nowhere.

Result: Repeat work gets booked in the flat months.

  3. A pre-season message to everyone who deferred

Homeowners who asked about a dead or dangerous tree and did not book, written to in the weeks before the weather turns.

Result: The deferred removal comes back before the limb does.

  4. A board and property manager sequence on a calendar

An introduction, an inspection offer and one follow-up, sent to each account in the months before its contract renews rather than all at once.

Result: You are asked to bid while there is still time.

  5. A short report to commercial accounts after each visit

Photographs and a few lines on what was done and what to watch, sent to the manager so their file on you is thicker than a competitor's.

Result: Renewal becomes a formality rather than a bid.

  6. Sending set up so the mail arrives

A verified sending domain, a working unsubscribe link, your physical address in the footer and a list cleaned of dead addresses before each send.

Result: Your estimates and invoices keep landing in the inbox.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for tree service companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we go through last season's estimates. How many were written down, how many were chased, and what the win rate looked like against the cheapest bid?

  2. 2

    Put the credentials in front

Insurance certificates, arborist qualifications and photographs of real removals placed where a homeowner sees them before they think to ask.

  3. 3

    Write and chase the estimate

A same-day written estimate with photographs, and a follow-up routine that runs past the week the tree was looked at.

  4. 4

    Fill the calendar

Local search, storm pages, neighbourhood groups and advertising aimed at the homeowner in the months between storms.

  5. 5

    Build the contract work

Boards, property managers, builders and solar installers approached on a calendar, so the crews have work when the weather is dull.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Are we allowed to email our past customers?
Writing to people who have bought from you is ordinary commercial mail, with rules about the unsubscribe link and your address in the footer. State rules and text messaging are stricter and they change, so your own attorney confirms what applies. We build the list from your customers and never buy one.
How often should we write to past customers?
Three or four times a year, keyed to the season rather than to a schedule. A tree company mailing monthly gets filed under promotions and stays there. The pre-season note and the health care note do most of the work.
How do we stop losing bids to uninsured crews?
Put the proof in front of the homeowner before the price. A certificate of insurance attached to the estimate, and a line about what happens if a limb goes through a roof, does more than arguing about the other quote. Some homeowners will still take the cheap bid, and those were never your customers.
Storm weeks bring more work than we can do. Should we still advertise?
Yes, but not for removal. Advertising in a storm week is better spent on the work that gets scheduled later: pruning, plant health care and inspections. The emergency calls arrive anyway, and a crew already booked solid does not need more of them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
