Yoga and pilates studios · Sales process
A fixed set of steps from a trial booking to a renewed membership.
A sales process for a yoga or pilates studio is the fixed steps between a trial booking and a renewed membership. GullySales writes the welcome, the membership offer and the declining-attendance check-in into one sequence.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales process means
A sales process is the fixed sequence of steps, such as enquiry, site visit, quote and order, that every deal is expected to pass through in the same order. GullySales writes this sequence down for your business and checks that every salesperson actually follows it.

For yoga and pilates studios
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“The trial welcome is a defined, consistent step”
A new student greeted and guided the same way every time feels more professional than not.
“The membership offer follows right after the trial”
Waiting days to follow up loses momentum that a same-day conversation captures.
“Declining attendance triggers a defined check-in”
A set attendance threshold that prompts a personal message catches a lapsing member early.
What we do
What we deliver for yoga and pilates studios.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
Written trial welcome script
A short, consistent script for greeting and guiding a new student through their first class.
Result: Every trial student gets the same professional welcome.
Same-visit membership offer step
A defined moment, right after the trial class, when membership options are presented.
Result: The offer reaches the student while the experience is still fresh.
Attendance-threshold check-in step
A defined point at which slowing attendance triggers a personal message from staff, built into the process itself.
Result: A member drifting away is reached before they quietly stop coming.
Front-desk process checklist
A short, written checklist covering the steps from a trial booking to a membership decision.
Result: Existing staff run the process consistently without extra hiring.
Pricing presentation format
A clear, simple way of laying out membership options to avoid confusion at the point of decision.
Result: A student decides faster because the choice is easy to follow.
How the result is measured
- Deals following the process
- Time spent at each step
- Drop-off rate by step
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
Steps of a sale
Take a new student from the trial booking to a renewed membership in the same order every time.
- Trial booking
- Ask the goal, such as back pain, flexibility or weight, any injury or pregnancy, and the time that suits. Record the class type and the teacher you booked them with.
- Health form and first class
- Have the student fill a health form on arrival and tell the teacher about any injury before class. For reformer pilates, show the machine first. Note what the teacher was told.
- After the trial class
- Ask the teacher's view of the student's level and the student's own reaction, then show the membership options. Record which one they took or why they waited.
- Membership and batch
- Confirm the plan, the freeze rule and the batch timings, and add them to the batch list. Note the timings they prefer if their first choice is full.
- Mid-plan check-in
- Partway through the plan, ask the teacher how the student is progressing and pass that on in a short message. Record the student's reply.
- Renewal conversation
- Before the plan ends, talk with the student about the next goal, such as a new level or a pilates add-on. Record the renewal or the reason they left.

Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- The studio has one teacher who sells by instinct and will not follow set steps, so a process would not be used.
- The pass options and trial rules change each month, so the steps would be out of date.
How it works
How the sales process work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Study current deal flow
We trace how deals actually move today, comparing across reps and outcomes.
- 2
Define the stages
Clear stages and criteria are designed to match how deals genuinely progress and close.
- 3
Configure the CRM
The process is built into your CRM so it is enforced structurally, not just documented.
- 4
Train the team
Reps are trained on the new process and why each stage exists.
- 5
Review adoption
We check after rollout whether the process is being followed and adjust where it is not.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
