Yoga and pilates studios · Customer retention

The renewal is decided at session eight, not at the expiry date.

Customer retention for a studio is the student buying her second pack, and then her third, and staying long enough that the practice becomes part of her routine. GullySales works on the batch, the teacher continuity and the expiry rule, because those decide renewals more than any offer does.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What customer retention means

Customer retention is keeping an existing customer buying again rather than losing them to a competitor after the first purchase, usually cheaper than winning a new customer. GullySales sets a routine of check-ins and renewal reminders aimed at customers before they show signs of leaving.

For yoga and pilates studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Students leave batches, not studios”

A student who renews is one whose batch time still fits, whose teacher is still there and whose two friends still come. Change the 7am teacher twice and the batch empties, and no loyalty points bring it back.

  • “A pack that expires quietly is a student lost quietly”

Ten sessions bought in January and half used by March is the most common way a studio loses somebody. The rule on extensions, and how a student is told before expiry, matters more than the discount on the next pack.

  • “Points do not keep a student”

A twelfth-class-free card is fine if it costs the studio nothing to run. What keeps a student is a teacher who noticed she was away, a reserved bed in her batch and a fair answer when a travel month wiped out her pack.

What we do

What we deliver for yoga and pilates studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An expiry rule written down and told at purchase

How long a pack lasts, what a pause for travel or injury looks like and who can approve an extension, printed on the receipt and said at the desk.

Result: No student finds out the rule the day it bites.

  2. Renewal conversations at the right session

Each student flagged in the register two sessions before her pack ends, with the teacher asked to raise it at the mat and the desk to follow with the price.

Result: Renewals are asked for while she is still coming.

  3. Teacher continuity per batch

A named home teacher for each batch, substitutes chosen from those the students already know, and the batch told in advance when a change is permanent.

Result: A change of teacher stops emptying the batch.

  4. Batch moves before cancellations

A student whose office hours changed is offered the evening batch or the weekend slot before she is allowed to lapse.

Result: A schedule change becomes a transfer, not a loss.

  5. Second-pack pricing that rewards staying

A pack price for renewing before expiry that is better than the walk-in price, with no points, tiers or apps to maintain.

Result: The fairest price goes to the student who stayed.

How the result is measured

  • Retention rate
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Customers won back

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. 01 · First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for yoga and pilates studios

  1. 1

Audit the trial and retention journey

We check how a new student books a trial class today, how fast that booking is confirmed, and whether dropping attendance is ever noticed.

  2. 2

    Build class-type pages for beginners

A page for each major class type, explaining who it suits and what to expect, replacing a schedule with no context.

  3. 3

    Enable instant trial booking

An online booking system that confirms a trial class immediately, at any hour, rather than requiring a call during studio hours.

  4. 4

Bring in the right new students

Local search, social content and seasonal campaigns timed to when people actually decide to start, such as January.

  5. 5

Catch drop-off before it becomes a cancellation

An attendance-based alert that flags a member whose visits have slowed, prompting a personal check-in before they quietly leave.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we run a loyalty programme?
For most single-studio businesses, no. A student who has bought three packs from you already feels loyal, and a points app is one more thing for the desk to maintain. If your chain has four branches and students move between them, a shared pack that works at all four is the scheme worth having.
How do we get back the students who lapsed last year?
One message from the teacher they trained with, naming the batch and asking whether the time still works, then leave it. A student who left because of a knee or a transfer comes back when the reason ends, and a reminder that her old batch still runs is what brings her. A discount code from an unknown number is not.
Do you help with actual class content or instruction?
No, that stays entirely with your instructors. We handle how new students find and book classes, and how the studio stays in touch with members.
Can this work for a single, independent studio?
Yes. The trial booking page and the attendance alert are set up once. After that, the person at the front desk spends a few minutes a day on the check-in messages, usually between the morning and evening batches.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
