YouTube influencer marketing · Marketing

One YouTube review is still being watched two years after you paid for it.

Our influencer and creator marketing page covers the whole trade across platforms. This one is about what YouTube changes, and it changes more than the file format.

In one paragraph

YouTube influencer marketing pays a creator to cover your product in a long video, either as a segment inside their own piece or as a video devoted to you. GullySales picks creators whose viewers match your buyer, negotiates the deliverable and the usage rights, and keeps the disclosure and the script honest.

Length and shelf life are the difference. A video runs ten or twenty minutes, so a product gets explained rather than glimpsed. And it keeps being found by search and suggestion for years, which is why the description link and the usage rights matter more than the first week's views.

Script control is the trade-off. People are there for the creator's judgement, and a video read off your script is recognised in ten seconds. You can correct a fact. You cannot write somebody's opinion for them.

The problem

Does this sound like your business?

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • The comments did the marketing for our competitor

A long video gathers opinions underneath it and they do not go away. A product that disappoints gets argued about in public, under something you paid for.

  • We bought the video and then could not use it

Running the creator's video as an advertisement, or putting it on your own website, is a separate right. Nobody bought it, so the video stays where it was published and nowhere else.

  • The channel's viewers were not in our market

A subscriber count hides where people watch from and which language they watch in. A large channel whose audience sits outside your delivery area buys you nothing.

  • It sounded like an advertisement

A script written in a marketing office and read out word for word is spotted in the opening seconds. Viewers skip the segment, and the creator's next brand pays less.

What we do

Everything that is included.

Each deliverable, and what it gets you. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Creator shortlist on fit, not size

Channels judged on who turns up in the comments, which language they watch in, and whether the last five brand videos were worth watching.

  2. The deliverable written down

An integration of a stated length or a video of its own, with the release window, the link placement and the pinned comment all agreed.

  3. Usage rights priced separately

What you may do with the video afterwards: run it as an advertisement, keep it on your site, cut it for other platforms, and for how long.

  4. A brief a creator can work with

The three things that must be said and the two that must not, with everything else left to the person whose audience it is.

  5. Disclosure done properly

Paid promotion declared under the platform's rules and the advertising industry's code, placed where a viewer meets it before the mention.

  6. A factual review, not an edit approval

One pass to correct prices, specifications and claims, with the opinion untouched and the deadline for that pass fixed in advance.

  7. A traceable route

A code and a link used by that creator alone, so orders and enquiries can still be counted against them months later.

  8. Comment plan

Who answers questions under the video in the first week, in what tone, and what happens when a complaint turns out to be fair.

How the result is measured

  • Orders and enquiries against each creator's code or link
  • Views at seven, thirty and ninety days
  • Cost per enquiry by creator, compared across the shortlist
  • Brand searches in the week after publication
  • Questions and complaints under the video, and how fast they were answered

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for you if these sound familiar.

  • Products that need showing and explaining: an appliance, a machine, a course, software, anything with a setup
  • Brands whose buyers search for a review before ordering and find only the company's own video
  • Regional-language sellers whose buyers watch in Kannada, Tamil or Telugu and trust a face they already know
  • D2C brands with a product good enough to survive a comments section for two years
  • Software teams whose buyers want to watch a walkthrough before they will sit through a demo

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Brands that need final-cut approval and a script read word for word, which viewers spot and skip
  • A product with a known fault, because a long video collects a public argument that stays under it
  • Anyone who needs results this fortnight, since filming and editing take weeks before anything is published

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the YouTube influencer marketing work runs

  1. 1

Decide what the video has to do

Explain a product, answer one objection that keeps costing you orders, or put a trusted face beside your name. Each needs a different channel.

  2. 2

    Shortlist and ask for numbers

Creators are approached with a brief and asked for their own audience breakdown and how their recent brand work performed.

  3. 3

    Settle the deal in writing

Deliverable, release window, category exclusivity, usage rights and payment terms are agreed before anybody starts filming.

  4. 4

Brief them, then let them write

Product, access and facts go across, and the script comes back in their own voice for a factual check only.

  5. 5

Publish and work the first week

Comments are answered, the code is live, and the landing page is ready for somebody arriving from a description link.

  6. 6

    Read the tail

Views, code use and enquiries are reported at thirty days and again at ninety, because this medium keeps working long after the invoice closes.

Proof

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we approve the final video?
You can check facts, and most brands should stop there. A creator whose audience trusts their judgement cannot hand over the edit, and a video that sounds approved by a marketing department loses the thing you paid for. Fix the factual review and its deadline in the contract.
Do we own the video afterwards?
No, unless those rights are bought separately. The video belongs to the creator and lives on their channel. Running it as an advertisement, embedding it on your website or cutting it for another platform are separate permissions, each with a price and a time limit.
Is a big channel better than a small one?
Not by itself. Ten thousand viewers who work in your trade are worth more than a general audience a hundred times that size. Ask the creator for their own breakdown by country and language, and read the comments before you read the subscriber count.
Does the video have to say it is paid?
Yes. The platform's rules and the advertising industry's code both require paid promotion to be declared. The label belongs where a viewer meets it, not buried at the foot of the description, and your brand carries that responsibility alongside the creator.
How is this priced?
There is no published price. Creators quote per deliverable and charge again for usage rights, and those rates move with the category and the season. Our fee covers the shortlist, the negotiation, the brief and the reporting, and it is agreed in writing after the free audit.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
