CRM, lead flow and sales techniques · Content as a sales tool

Write down every question a buyer asks, then check who has answered it.

A buyer questions bank is a ranked list of the questions prospects ask your team, with a mark showing which already have a public answer. It tells you what to publish next. This page covers the logging sheet, the ranking, the answer check and the languages to answer in.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph

A buyer questions bank is a ranked list of the questions prospects ask your team, with a mark showing which already have a public answer. It tells you what to publish next. This page covers the logging sheet, the ranking, the answer check and the languages to answer in.

A diagnostic centre in Mysuru has a receptionist who answers the same eleven questions every morning: is fasting needed, when does the report come, is home collection available, does the price include the doctor's consultation. The website says none of it. Each call takes four minutes, and the people who would rather read than call have already gone to a competitor's page.

The bank starts with a notebook or a shared sheet beside every phone. Whoever hears a question writes a tick next to it. After a few weeks, you have a ranked list in the customer's own words and a clear picture of what your site, your brochure and your WhatsApp catalogue do not say.

Every salesperson logs, the content owner or the person who runs your page clusters the list, and the owner decides what is published. It runs for a few weeks to build, and each quarter after that to refresh.

It is the raw feed for the sales-to-content loop and the price page in this section. It is not a FAQ page written from imagination, which answers questions that nobody asked.

Where this sits

Topic 11 of 13 in crm, lead flow and sales techniques: content as a sales tool. Content that reps use in live conversations.

The topic before
Frictionless selling
The topic after
Selling after the sale

If you want this done for you

Ask customers directly instead of assuming you already know what they need.

The work

What this is actually like.

  • “Count the ticks, not the interesting questions”

The questions that make the team think are memorable and rare. The ones that fill the notebook are boring: where are you, are you open Sunday, what is the minimum. Answer the boring ones first, because they are what your reps are repeating all day.

  • “Questions come in a language”

A buyer in Belagavi asks in Kannada, one in Surat in Gujarati, a plant manager in Pune in English with Hindi mixed in. Log the question as it was asked, then answer in that language. A translation of your English page is no reply to someone who typed in their own.

  • “A question not asked in public may be asked in private”

Some buyers will never ask your rep about cost, about complaints or about what happens if it goes wrong. Check the questions that come in through chat boxes, review sites and your competitors' comment threads, because they ask there instead.

  • “An answer that exists but cannot be found is not an answer”

You may have the reply buried in a PDF three clicks deep. In the check, look for it the way a buyer would, from a search on a phone. If you cannot find it in thirty seconds, record it as unanswered.

What we do

What you end up with.

The documents this topic produces, what each one is for, and how you know it is finished.

  1. The logging sheet

A shared sheet or notebook at each phone, with columns for date, question in the buyer's words, language, channel, rep, and a tick for whether the rep had a ready answer. Updated at once, not left for the evening.

Result: Finished when every rep has logged at least five questions without being reminded.

  2. The clustered list

After several weeks, the content owner groups near-identical questions into one line each, with a count and an example phrasing. Reps check that the groups match what they hear.

Result: Finished when no two lines on the list ask the same thing.

  3. The answer check

A column against each line: answered on the website, in a catalogue, on WhatsApp, nowhere. The checker is not the one who wrote the content, so that the search is honest.

Result: Finished when each line has a yes or no and a link or location if yes.

  4. The ranked question bank

The final list sorted by count, with the unanswered ones at the top, a short answer drafted for each by the rep who gets the question most, and a named publisher.

Result: Finished when the top five unanswered questions have an owner and a publish date.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How long should we log before we start publishing?
A few weeks gives a clear top ten for a small team. Do not wait for perfect data. Publish answers to the top three while the log keeps running, and see whether the calls on those topics fall.
Should reps stop answering questions on the phone?
No. The aim is to take the tedious ones off the call so the rep can spend the time on the buyer's real problem. A published answer also gives the rep a link to send, which is quicker than saying it again.
Can the bank be written by an outside content writer?
Not without your reps. A writer does not hear the calls. The rep supplies the questions and the real answer, and the writer turns it into clean copy that you then check against what the team would say.
What if our questions are all about price?
Then the next step is a published price range. See the price transparency page in this section. Until you publish something, the question sits at the top of the bank and everyone repeats it.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
