Auto repair shops · Buyer journey

Map the short walk from a strange noise to a booked appointment.

The buyer journey for an auto repair shop runs from noticing a problem or a due service to a call or a walk-in, often within the same day. It passes through a quick local search and a review check on the way. GullySales maps this short journey so nothing that decides the booking is missing at the moment it is searched for.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer journey means

The buyer journey is the sequence of steps a customer actually takes, from first hearing about you to deciding to buy, which is rarely a single visit or call. GullySales maps this sequence for your business and checks that something useful happens at each step instead of only at the final call.

For auto repair shops

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “This journey is often hours, not weeks”

A driver noticing a warning light or a due service searches, compares two or three garages and books the same day. Being visible and responsive in that narrow window matters more than long-term brand building alone.

  • “The review check happens mid-journey, not at the start”

A customer referred by a friend still checks recent reviews before calling, so a referral is a foot in the door, not a guaranteed booking.

  • “Repeat visits follow a completely different, longer journey”

A returning customer skips the comparison stage entirely and goes straight to booking, provided they were reminded the service was due in the first place.

What we do

What we deliver for auto repair shops.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Same-day response checklist

A short checklist for handling a call or WhatsApp message within the hour, since most bookings are decided the same day.

Result: A driver who calls at ten is booked in by lunch.

  2. Review-check readiness for referred customers

A profile and review set strong enough to survive the check a referred customer still runs before calling.

Result: A referral converts instead of being lost to a quick search.

  3. Repeat-visit fast lane

A separate, simpler booking step for returning customers who skip comparison and go straight to booking once reminded.

Result: A loyal customer books again without repeating the first-visit process.

  4. Journey map from noticed problem to booked slot

A written map of what a driver does between noticing a noise or a due service and calling a garage.

Result: Your team knows exactly where to catch a driver's attention.

  5. WhatsApp quick-reply set for common questions

Ready replies for the questions asked most on WhatsApp, such as price range and availability today.

Result: A driver gets an answer fast enough to keep them from calling elsewhere.

How the result is measured

  • Drop-off rate by step
  • Time from first contact to sale
  • Steps with no content

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Stages of the driver's journey

A driver goes from a warning light to a booked slot in a handful of steps, and a garage can lose the job at any one of them.

Notices a fault or a due service
A noise, a dashboard light or a service sticker starts it. Check that your pages answer searches for the specific fault and the car make, not only for car service.
Searches on Maps
They compare nearby garages by stars, distance and photographs. Keep the opening hours, the brands you handle and a recent photograph of the workshop correct on the profile.
Checks the reviews
They look for a review from someone with the same car or the same problem. Reply to each review naming the job, so a stranger sees how you treat a complaint.
Calls or sends a WhatsApp
The first question is usually whether you can see the car and what it will cost. Ask for the registration number, the model and the symptom before you give a rough indication.
Leaves the car and waits
The owner is anxious until the call comes. Phone before doing any extra work, say what is wrong and what it adds, and write the approval on the job card.
Collects the car
This is the moment to set up the next visit. Write the next service date and the odometer reading on the bill, and keep a reminder against the registration number.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer journey work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the sales process

We walk through how a sale actually happens today, from the person who first answers an enquiry to the one who closes it.

  2. 2

    Audit the data

Website analytics, call logs and CRM records are pulled together to see where people actually drop out, not where they are assumed to.

  3. 3

    Interview buyers and staff

A handful of recent customers and the team who speak to them fill in the reasons behind the numbers.

  4. 4

    Build the map

Stages, touchpoints and drop-off points are set out in one document everyone can read the same way.

  5. 5

    Fix and measure

Each fix is implemented against the stage it addresses, and the drop-off rate at that stage is checked afterwards.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Does this apply to both new and repeat customers?
Yes, but differently. New customers need to be won through search and reviews, while repeat customers need a timely reminder more than a fresh pitch.
How fast do we need to respond?
Within the hour where possible, since most of this journey happens the same day the problem or the due service is noticed.
A customer asked for a quote and never came in. Should we chase?
One polite message is reasonable, offering a slot and asking if they want a second opinion on the estimate. Many drivers simply drove to the next garage on the list. Note the source and the fault in your enquiry sheet so you can see which searches lose you jobs.
Who else decides besides the person who owns the car?
A spouse or parent often decides on a bigger repair, a fleet manager approves a company vehicle, and an insurer's surveyor signs off a claim job. Ask who approves the work at the estimate stage, and send the written estimate to that person too.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
