Caterers · Search engine optimisation

Be found for the menu and the guest count, not for catering services.

SEO for a caterer decides whether a family searching for wedding catering for five hundred guests in your city finds your page. GullySales writes a page for each kind of function and each menu you cook well, and puts the per-plate ranges where somebody can read them.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For caterers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The search carries a number

Catering for five hundred guests and catering for a hundred people at home are different businesses. One page cannot rank for both.

  • Cuisine is the search term

Brahmin catering, Andhra non-veg, Marwari Jain, banana leaf meals. People search the food by its own name, and almost nobody puts those names on a page.

  • A gallery of plates ranks for nothing

Google cannot read a photograph of a paneer dish. The menu written out as text is what a search engine can match.

What we do

What we deliver for caterers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each kind of function you cater

Weddings and receptions, housewarmings and naming ceremonies, corporate lunches, cafeteria contracts and small home parties, each stating the guest range you handle.

Result: The enquiry arrives already the right size.

  2. A page per cuisine and serving style

Traditional vegetarian on banana leaf, Jain, Andhra non-vegetarian, biryani, north Indian or live counters, whichever your kitchen actually cooks well.

Result: A family searching their own food by name finds you.

  3. Menus written out as text, not photographed

Each menu listed item by item with the number of dishes, the counters and the service included, since a search engine cannot read a picture of a menu card.

Result: Your menus become pages instead of images.

  4. Per-plate ranges published by menu and season

An honest range for each menu at each guest count, with what moves the number, so the cost search has an answer on your own site.

Result: A family knows roughly what it costs before dialling.

  5. The FSSAI licence and kitchen details on the page

Licence number, kitchen location, daily plate capacity and the hygiene process, written where a corporate buyer and a worried family both look.

Result: The questions that decide a contract are already answered.

  6. Monthly reporting by function and menu page

Which pages brought enquiries, tastings and bookings each month, set against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You know which menu deserves its own page.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for caterers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where enquiries come from, reply speed, how quotes and tastings are handled, and how the calendar fills across the year.

  2. 2

Fix the enquiry to tasting step

A reply routine, clear menus and a tasting schedule with reminders, so interested families actually come.

  3. 3

    Show the events

Event photographs, reviews after every function and complete listings on Google and wedding platforms.

  4. 4

    Fill the gaps

Corporate, small-gathering and festival campaigns for the dates the wedding calendar leaves empty.

  5. 5

    Earn the next booking

Venue relationships, planner referrals and a thank-you and review ask after each event.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we publish our per-plate prices?
Publish a range with the menu attached, never one number. A price without the item count and the counters is just the figure a competitor undercuts, and the range filters out the families you could never serve.
How long does this take to work?
A few months for the main pages. A narrow one, such as Jain catering for a housewarming in your area, ranks sooner because fewer people have bothered to write it.
Should we give a per-plate price over the phone?
Give a range with the menu attached, not a single number. A price without the item count, counters and service included becomes the figure a competitor undercuts with a smaller menu.
Should we charge for tastings?
Many caterers offer a tasting free for serious enquiries above a guest count, or adjust a small fee against the booking. What matters more is that every tasting is scheduled, reminded and followed up the next day.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
