Cloud and DevOps service companies · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the problem a CTO types at midnight, not for the word cloud.

SEO for a cloud and DevOps firm is being found on the searches engineers and CTOs run when something has gone wrong or is about to change: a bill, a migration, a failed deployment. GullySales builds pages for those searches, checks that your best technical writing is reachable from the pages that sell, and traces organic visits through to assessments booked.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For cloud and DevOps service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The head terms bring students, not buyers”

Searches for cloud and DevOps in general bring course seekers, certification candidates and job hunters, while the buyer's own words are narrower: reduce the AWS bill, migrate servers to Azure.

  • “Engineers arrive through the error message”

A developer pastes the exact error or types the exact task, and a firm that has solved it in writing meets the buyer's team before it meets the buyer.

  • “The engineering blog is cut off from the pages that sell”

Posts sit on a separate subdomain or a hosted platform that no service page links to, so the attention they earn never reaches the offer.

What we do

What we deliver for cloud and DevOps service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each trigger and each cloud

Cost review, data-centre migration, managed Kubernetes and a DevOps retainer each get a page, with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud treated separately where the work differs.

Result: A buyer's search lands on the page that names their situation.

  2. Technical posts built from real tickets

A short list of problems your engineers solved last year, turned into posts with the command, the diagram and the reason, and reviewed by the engineer who did the work.

Result: Engineers searching for a fix find you before they find a forum thread.

  3. Comparison pages for the decision stage

Hire a DevOps engineer or retain a firm, managed Kubernetes or self-run, lift-and-shift or re-platform, each written as a fair comparison and not as a sales pitch.

Result: You are present in the search a buyer runs just before shortlisting.

  4. Sector pages for regulated customers

Pages for lenders, hospitals and software companies selling to large enterprises, naming where data sits and who has access, in the compliance head's vocabulary.

Result: Buyers with data residency worries find a page that takes them seriously.

  5. A structure check across site, blog and docs

Blog, documentation and marketing site checked for what a crawler can reach, with moves and redirects listed for your engineers to apply.

Result: Your authority flows to the pages that carry the offer.

  6. Organic visits traced to assessments booked

Sessions, form fills and calls from organic search, broken out by page and followed to assessments and signed projects in your CRM, read against the baseline.

Result: You can name the pages that bring projects.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a CTO or IT head types when the problem is live, and the page that answers it.

reduce AWS bill for a start-up
A cost review page. Say what is inspected, such as idle resources, data transfer and commitment plans, and what access you need. State plainly that you cannot promise a saving until you see the account.
migrate on-premise servers to Azure
A migration page per cloud. Set out discovery, landing zone, cutover and rollback in the order they happen, and who on the client side must do what at each step.
DevOps consultant for a start-up
A retainer page that compares a firm with hiring one engineer. Cover leave cover, on-call, documentation and what happens when the one person who knows the pipelines resigns.
managed Kubernetes services India
A page that says which clusters you run, on which cloud, and when you advise a client against Kubernetes altogether. Honesty about the small-team case earns the reference.
cloud infrastructure for SOC 2
An audit-readiness page on the infrastructure controls you set up, such as access, logging and backups. Say clearly that the auditor, not you, issues the report.
terraform state lock error
A how-to post an engineer finds when stuck. Give the fix in full, name the person who wrote it and add one plain link to your retainer page for teams who would rather not be on call.

  • DevOps and CI/CD consultancies working with product start-ups
  • Managed cloud and site reliability retainer providers
  • Kubernetes and platform engineering teams

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for cloud and DevOps service companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where your last projects came from, how fast enquiries get a reply, what happens after an assessment is delivered and how renewals of retainers are handled.

  2. 2

    Define the offers

One named assessment, a project scope with assumptions and a retainer you can describe on a single page, each with a proposal format the person who signs can read without a call.

  3. 3

    Be found at the trigger

Pages, ads, listings and vendor and investor routes aimed at the bill, the exit, the resignation and the audit, which are the events that start a search.

  4. 4

    Follow up to signature

Assessments booked, reports presented, proposals chased on dates fixed when they are sent, and prospects with a known decision date called before it.

  5. 5

Convert the project into a retainer

A run-and-support proposal built during each project and reviewed with the client before go-live, with the outcome read against the baseline.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we write about tools or about client problems?
Client problems. A post about a tool's new feature is read by people who already use it, and the vendor wrote it better. A post about why a cluster ran out of IP addresses during a sale is something only someone who has done the work can write.
Do we need pages for each city when the work is remote?
Not for most of it. Cloud work is bought on the problem, not on the postcode. Add a city page only where you really meet clients, such as a Bengaluru office for kick-offs, and keep it short and honest about what happens on site.
Our engineers hate writing. How do we get posts out of them?
Do not ask them to write. Ask for the ticket, the command history and ten minutes on the phone, and have an editor draft it. The engineer reads and corrects the draft, which takes far less of their time than a blank page.
Can we publish our runbook and pipeline templates?
Publish cleaned templates, with every client name, account number and key removed. Engineers share and link to useful templates, which brings the links and visits no service page earns. Have a second person check each file before it goes up.
Should we give the assessment away or charge for it?
Limit what you give away. An open-ended free assessment costs a senior engineer days and often ends with the prospect doing the work alone. Many firms charge a small fee and credit it against the project, or offer a free first look with a fixed scope. Write down which, so every salesperson says the same.
Are we competing with the cloud vendor's own team?
Mostly not. Vendor teams usually want partners who bring projects and keep customers running on their platform. Funding and co-sell rules change often, so read the vendor's current partner terms and ask your partner manager what they send to firms like yours.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
