Cloud and DevOps service companies · Pay per click advertising

Pay for the CTO with a live problem, not the student with a certification exam.

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising for a cloud and DevOps firm means bidding on the searches of people who need a partner and blocking the many from job seekers, students and people trying to log in to a console. GullySales builds campaigns around the trigger and the cloud, sends each click to a matching page and counts only enquiries that could become an assessment.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend daily against enquiries received.

For cloud and DevOps service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Job seekers and learners outnumber buyers”

DevOps engineer, course and certification searches dominate the volume, and each click costs the same as the one from a CTO.

  • “People searching for a console login click ads”

Someone looking for the AWS or Azure sign-in page sees your ad on a vendor term and clicks by mistake. That click is paid for and never converts.

  • “An enquiry needs a stack, not just a phone number”

A form without a field for the cloud in use and the estate to be moved makes a hobbyist and a fifty-engineer company look the same until the call.

What we do

What we deliver for cloud and DevOps service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns split by trigger and cloud

Cost reduction, migration, DevOps retainer and compliance readiness run as separate campaigns, with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud kept apart where the buyer's words differ.

Result: Budget follows the searches that become assessments.

  2. A negative keyword list for this trade

Jobs, salary, interview questions, course, certification, tutorial, free tier, login, console and pricing calculator, built from the search terms report and revisited as new variants appear.

Result: Spend stops going to learners and sign-in seekers.

  3. Landing pages that ask for the stack

Each page names the work, says who it suits and asks which cloud, how many engineers and what triggered the search before the contact details.

Result: Small or off-target jobs sort themselves out before the call.

  4. Ads for the engineer who resigned

A small campaign on searches such as DevOps support for a small team and co-managed DevOps, sending buyers to a handover-check page.

Result: You meet a buyer in the week the gap opens.

  5. Calls and forms followed to a signed project

Tracking numbers on ads and pages, the form source stored in the CRM and each enquiry followed to assessment and signature.

Result: You can see what a project won through ads actually cost.

  6. Location targeting by who you can serve

Cities where you meet clients treated separately from the rest of India, where remote work is the offer, with a different page and message for each.

Result: The ad promises only what you deliver in that place.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

Which searches bring cloud and DevOps buyers, which bring learners and logins, and what to do with each.

cloud cost optimisation services, reduce AWS bill
Bid. The buyer has seen a bill. Send the click to the cost review page, with a form asking the cloud and the rough estate. No promise of a saving in the ad.
migrate to AWS or Azure, data centre migration partner
Bid. A project buyer. Show the cloud and the kind of workload you move, and ask how many servers and what runs on them before the call.
managed DevOps services, DevOps consulting company
Bid with care. It mixes buyers and people comparing firms. Name the retainer and minimum team size in the ad copy so single-task seekers drop out.
DevOps engineer jobs, salary, interview questions, course
Block. Job seekers and learners search these all day. Add jobs, salary, fresher, interview, course and certification terms as negatives, and review the search terms report for variants.
AWS login, Azure portal, free tier, pricing calculator
Block. These are people reaching the vendor's own tools. Never bid on these or leave them in broad match, and check the platform's current rules on using a vendor's name.
An enquiry worth paying for
Count a form or call that names the cloud, the estate and the trigger. Mark it again when an assessment is booked, and judge the campaign on assessments, not clicks.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for cloud and DevOps service companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where your last projects came from, how fast enquiries get a reply, what happens after an assessment is delivered and how renewals of retainers are handled.

  2. 2

    Define the offers

One named assessment, a project scope with assumptions and a retainer you can describe on a single page, each with a proposal format the person who signs can read without a call.

  3. 3

    Be found at the trigger

Pages, ads, listings and vendor and investor routes aimed at the bill, the exit, the resignation and the audit, which are the events that start a search.

  4. 4

    Follow up to signature

Assessments booked, reports presented, proposals chased on dates fixed when they are sent, and prospects with a known decision date called before it.

  5. 5

Convert the project into a retainer

A run-and-support proposal built during each project and reviewed with the client before go-live, with the outcome read against the baseline.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we use AWS, Azure or Google Cloud in our ad copy?
Check the platform's current trademark rules and your partner agreement with the vendor. Both limit how a vendor's name and logo can be used in ads. Many firms describe the work in plain words and name the cloud only on the landing page.
Should we bid on our own firm name?
A small brand campaign is cheap protection when a rival bids on your name, and it gives you a clean count of people who already know you. Keep it in a separate campaign so it does not hide how the non-brand campaigns are doing.
Are call-only ads right for urgent outage searches?
Only if someone answers every call, including out of hours. A missed call from an engineer in the middle of an incident costs more than the click. Run call ads as their own campaign and measure them apart from the assessment campaigns.
How do we know which calls came from the ads?
Use a separate tracked number on ads and landing pages, and ask each caller how they found you as a cross-check. Log users, stack, trigger and outcome in the CRM, then match signed projects back to the campaign.
Should we give the assessment away or charge for it?
Limit what you give away. An open-ended free assessment costs a senior engineer days and often ends with the prospect doing the work alone. Many firms charge a small fee and credit it against the project, or offer a free first look with a fixed scope. Write down which, so every salesperson says the same.
Are we competing with the cloud vendor's own team?
Mostly not. Vendor teams usually want partners who bring projects and keep customers running on their platform. Funding and co-sell rules change often, so read the vendor's current partner terms and ask your partner manager what they send to firms like yours.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
