CPA and accounting firms · Content marketing

Write in June what you want prospects reading in January.

Content marketing for a CPA firm is the writing that proves you know one industry: its credits, its payroll problems, its year-end decisions. GullySales draws that out of your partners in short conversations, publishes it between May and August, and keeps it inside what professional conduct rules allow you to claim.

A newsstand under a striped awning: three tiers of folded publications racked spine on, one title on the top tier turned to face the street, and a crate of rolled copies at the foot of the stand

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For CPA and accounting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The subject is the industry, not the tax code

A page on tip credits, delivery app 1099s and payroll across four restaurant locations reaches one reader exactly.

  • Nothing written during busy season is ever published

Firms promise a blog in February and abandon it by March, so the calendar has to live in the summer.

  • Dates go stale and the licence is yours

Thresholds and deadlines change, so every article needs a review date and a line saying it is general, not advice for one business.

What we do

What we deliver for CPA and accounting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A summer writing calendar drawn from partner interviews

Half-hour conversations with the partner who knows the subject, turned into drafts they correct instead of compose, scheduled from May to August.

Result: The firm publishes without a partner writing an essay.

  2. A year-end planning guide for your niche

The decisions an owner in that industry has to make before 31 December, written as a checklist you can send out in November.

Result: Planning conversations start before the year closes.

  3. A talk or webinar built with the association

A session for your niche's association, with the slides, the handout and a follow-up offer, since that room is full of the owners you want.

Result: One afternoon reaches a roomful of buyers with the same problem.

  4. Review dates and general-guidance wording on everything

Each piece dated, assigned to a partner for annual review, and worded so nobody reads it as advice on their own situation.

Result: Old articles stop becoming a liability.

  5. A note of what each piece brought in

Views, enquiries and proposals traced back to each article or talk, reported monthly beside the rest of the figures.

Result: Next summer's plan is built on what worked.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these CPA and accounting firms.

  • Sole practitioners and two-partner firms
  • Multi-partner regional firms
  • Tax-only practices
  • Client accounting and advisory service teams
  • Audit and assurance practices doing non-profit and benefit plan work
  • Niche firms serving a single industry
  • Bookkeeping firms adding tax work
  • Firms preparing for succession or a sale
  • New firms in their first two years

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for CPA and accounting firms

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we look at where clients came from, revenue per client, proposals sent against proposals accepted, and what happens between May and August.

  2. 2

Decide what you want more of

One or two niches and a service mix chosen against capacity and price, with a written note of the work the firm will stop taking.

  3. 3

    Rebuild the front door

Niche pages, the profile, the partner bios and the proof, written so a prospect can recognise their own business on the page.

  4. 4

    Fix the proposal

A qualifying call, a scope template and a fixed-fee proposal that goes out in two days, with a follow-up on every one that goes quiet.

  5. 5

    Market when you can answer

The campaign runs May to August, year-end planning goes out in November, and January to April is triage rather than promotion.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our partners will not write. Is content still possible?
Yes. They talk, we draft, they correct the technical points. Expect twenty minutes of a partner's time per piece, which is the only part nobody else can do.
Should we publish anything during busy season?
Only what was written before January: deadline reminders and client-facing notes. Keep the thinking pieces for the summer.
Are we allowed to advertise this way?
Yes, within limits. The AICPA Code of Professional Conduct rules out false, misleading or deceptive promotion, and your state board adds its own conditions, including how the CPA title may be used. Commission and contingent fee restrictions also shape what may be promoted and to whom. Your state board has the last word and we write to it.
Do you do bookkeeping or tax preparation too?
No, and it is worth saying plainly, because that is what most firms cold-calling your practice are selling. We are a sales and marketing firm. We never touch a client return, a trial balance or client tax data, and we ask for no access to your tax software.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
