CPA and accounting firms · Social media

One channel matters, and the attorneys and bankers are already on it.

Social media for a CPA firm is LinkedIn, used to stay visible to the attorneys, bankers and advisers who send you work, and to the owners inside your niche. GullySales plans the posts from conversations with your partners, keeps the claims inside professional conduct rules, and leaves the rest of the platforms alone.

A community noticeboard under a small pitched roof, posters layered four deep, with a fresh notice just pinned over the corner of an older one

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For CPA and accounting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Referral sources need reminding, not convincing

An attorney already knows you. Appearing in their feed in July is what puts your name in the room in October.

  • Tax tips age badly and travel far

A post about a deduction gets shared for years, long after the rule changed, and it is your licence attached to it.

  • Post when you can answer the replies

Publishing on 10 April and ignoring the comments does more harm than staying quiet until the return deadline has passed.

What we do

What we deliver for CPA and accounting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A LinkedIn plan for the firm and the partners

A schedule the partners can keep in the off season, drawn from short interviews rather than from a content library nobody recognises.

Result: Posts sound like the partner whose name is on them.

  2. Partner profiles rewritten for the niche

Headline, summary and experience written around the industries each partner serves and the introductions you want to be sent.

Result: A referral source can see exactly who to introduce you to.

  3. A review step before anything technical is posted

Any post touching a rule or a deadline checked by the partner responsible, with dated wording and no outcome promised.

Result: Nothing goes out that has to be deleted later.

  4. Engagement with the referral network

A short weekly routine of commenting on and sharing what attorneys, bankers and association contacts publish, rather than only broadcasting.

Result: The people who refer you see you being useful.

  5. Messages routed into the intake

A rule for who answers a direct message asking about fees, and how it gets into the enquiry record before a reply is sent.

Result: An enquiry that arrived as a message is treated like any other.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these CPA and accounting firms.

  • Sole practitioners and two-partner firms
  • Multi-partner regional firms
  • Tax-only practices
  • Client accounting and advisory service teams
  • Audit and assurance practices doing non-profit and benefit plan work
  • Niche firms serving a single industry
  • Bookkeeping firms adding tax work
  • Firms preparing for succession or a sale
  • New firms in their first two years

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for CPA and accounting firms

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we look at where clients came from, revenue per client, proposals sent against proposals accepted, and what happens between May and August.

  2. 2

Decide what you want more of

One or two niches and a service mix chosen against capacity and price, with a written note of the work the firm will stop taking.

  3. 3

    Rebuild the front door

Niche pages, the profile, the partner bios and the proof, written so a prospect can recognise their own business on the page.

  4. 4

    Fix the proposal

A qualifying call, a scope template and a fixed-fee proposal that goes out in two days, with a follow-up on every one that goes quiet.

  5. 5

    Market when you can answer

The campaign runs May to August, year-end planning goes out in November, and January to April is triage rather than promotion.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we be making short tax videos?
Only if a partner will front them and review every one. General advice on video is where firms get careless, and the professional conduct rules still apply.
Is Facebook worth anything for a firm like ours?
For individual return work in a small town, sometimes. For business clients and referral sources, LinkedIn is where the time should go.
Are we allowed to advertise this way?
Yes, within limits. The AICPA Code of Professional Conduct rules out false, misleading or deceptive promotion, and your state board adds its own conditions, including how the CPA title may be used. Commission and contingent fee restrictions also shape what may be promoted and to whom. Your state board has the last word and we write to it.
Do you do bookkeeping or tax preparation too?
No, and it is worth saying plainly, because that is what most firms cold-calling your practice are selling. We are a sales and marketing firm. We never touch a client return, a trial balance or client tax data, and we ask for no access to your tax software.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
