The collector wants issue 14 in near-mint condition, and your listing says only comic.
A comic buyer is usually in the middle of something. A run they are completing, a series they have just discovered, a volume that comes out next month. The sale is made on exactness: the right issue, the right cover, the right printing, in the right state.
A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.
In one paragraph
Comics are the single issues, collected volumes, graphic novels and manga that readers and collectors buy by series, issue number and condition. GullySales builds series and issue pages, states condition and edition the way collectors expect, runs pre-order and wishlist routes and keeps fans of one title in touch with the next.
Two buyers share the shelf. The reader wants the story at a fair price and does not care about the corner. The collector cares about almost nothing else, and will pay more for a sealed, bagged copy. One page cannot serve both, so the listing must say which it is.

Who it is for
This is written for you if you sell comics online.
- Specialist comic shops selling single issues, graphic novels and manga online
- Sellers of Indian comics and regional-language comic series
- Dealers in back issues and collectible comics with graded or bagged copies
- Sellers of manga and graphic novels who want repeat readers across a long series
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- A seller who cannot photograph and describe condition honestly. Collectors will not forgive a vague grade.
- Sellers with a small mixed stock and no regular new arrivals. A comics community will not stay for a shelf that does not change.
How buyers choose
What decides the sale of comics.
Series, issue and volume
The search is exact: the title, the issue number or the volume, sometimes the printing. A listing missing any of these cannot be matched to a want list.
Condition and how it is described
Collectors look for the grade, photographs of the spine, corners and back cover, and for whether the copy is bagged and boarded. They notice when a seller is being generous.
Variant covers and special editions
A cover by a different artist, a limited print, a signed copy. These are separate products to a collector, and they search for them by name.
Reading order and age suitability
Newcomers ask where to start, in what order, and whether a title is for a child or an adult. Some series are not for young readers and the page should say so.
Where sales are lost
What usually goes wrong when you sell comics online.
In the words sellers use on the first call.
“A comic arrives bent and the collector asks for a refund”
Comics are flat and fragile. Backing boards, rigid mailers and the right carrier are part of the product, and the packing has to be written on the page.
“Fans buy one volume and never find the rest”
Readers lose track of a long manga series. A series page with every volume in order, what is in stock and a restock message keeps them buying from you.
“Pre-orders are muddled and customers chase us for dates”
Release dates slip. A pre-order page with a stated date, a note that it can change and a message when it ships cuts the chasing.
“We cannot tell reader copies from collector copies”
Mixed stock confuses both. Separate pages or clear labels for reader grade and collector grade avoid the dispute.
The scope
The work we would propose for comics.
Measured on purchases, conversion rate, cost to win a customer, average order value and repeat purchases. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.
- Series and issue pagesA page per series with every issue and volume in order, what is in stock, the cover and printing, and the words fans type, including character names and story arcs.
- Condition and photograph standardA fixed way of describing condition and photographing each copy, so every listing reads the same and collectors learn to trust it.
- Pre-order and wishlistA wishlist for each series and a message when the next volume or a missing issue is in stock, built from what each reader has bought.
- Fan communitiesFan groups, comic-con circles and Instagram collector accounts, with real contributions, such as reading orders and photographs, before any selling.
- Marketplace listingsListings with series, issue number, publisher, language and condition stated, and the right category on each marketplace you use.
Packing standard
A written packing method with boards and rigid mailers, and a damage route, shown on each page.
What we do
What you get for comics.
Each deliverable and what it is there to change.
A condition guide
A page that defines each grade you use with photographs. It makes your listings believable.
A reading order page for each series
The order to read and the volumes in print. It brings in newcomers and keeps them buying.
A pre-order template
A page for each coming release with date, price and a sign-up. It cuts the chase for dates.
A restock alert set
A form and message for out-of-stock volumes. It holds the reader until you have the book.

Selling in India and abroad
Selling comics beyond your own market.
Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.
Collectors abroad pay for rare Indian titles
Older Indian comics are sought by collectors elsewhere, and so are manga editions that are hard to find. Your own platform data shows which markets already ask.
Rights, content and customs
Some editions are sold for one territory, and some content is treated differently by customs. Check with your publisher or forwarder before you list overseas.

Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
