E-commerce · Clothing & Apparel

Nobody knows if the leggings are squat-proof until they have bent over in them.

Activewear sells on what it does under stress: sweat, stretch, a deep squat, a long run. The buyer cannot test any of it online, and a bad pair shows up in the first workout. So they trust fabric detail, a clear statement on opacity and support, and a review from someone who trains the way they do.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Activewear e-commerce is the online sale of gym wear, running kit, yoga clothes, sports bras and athleisure, where the buyer judges fabric performance, support and opacity from a screen. GullySales works on how your pages explain the fabric and the fit under movement, and how workout wear is found by the sport and the occasion.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell activewear online.

  • Gym and yoga wear brands selling through their own store and Instagram
  • Running and cycling apparel labels
  • Sports bra and leggings specialists, including inclusive size ranges
  • Athleisure labels that sell for the office, the street and the gym

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who cannot give fabric composition and weight for each piece
  • Anyone wanting us to claim a garment improves performance or fitness

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of activewear.

  1. Fabric composition and weight

Polyester, nylon, elastane, cotton blend; the buyer looks at the mix, the weight and whether it is moisture-wicking, and distrusts a page that says only premium stretch.

  2. Opacity and the squat test

Whether the leggings go see-through when stretched is the most common worry and the most-searched review phrase. A line and a photograph from the stretched position answer it.

  3. Support level for sports bras

Low, medium or high impact, matched to yoga, gym or running, with band and cup sizing in the chart, not S, M and L.

  4. The sport and the climate

Yoga wants softness and stretch, running wants light and quick drying, a Chennai gym wants breathability. Buyers search for the activity first and the brand later.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell activewear online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Customers say our leggings are see-through”

The white pair may be, but the black are fine. The page treats all colours alike, and so does the review that ended up top.

  • “We sell more in January and then it dies”

The new-year resolution crowd buys one set and stops. Nothing tells them about the second pair when the first one has been washed forty times.

  • “Our sports bras get returned for cup size”

A shopper picks by band size, and the cup is wrong. A page that fits the shopper to a band and a cup solves it. A letter size does not.

The scope

The work we would propose for activewear.

Measured on purchases, conversion rate, cost to win a customer, average order value and repeat purchases. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for activewear.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A fabric guide for each product line

A page that says what each fabric does and what care keeps it from pilling, linked from every listing.

  2. A support finder for sports bras

A short guide matching impact level and band and cup size to the bra, so fewer are exchanged.

  3. An opacity photo set

Each light colour shot in a stretch, which answers the see-through question before a buyer asks it.

  4. A goal-and-season campaign calendar

New-year, monsoon-run, summer yoga and marathon-season pushes, with the stock and creators they need.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Return rate
  • Fit and opacity complaints

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your top-selling colours and which are returned most
  • Fabric specification sheets for each range
  • Reviews that mention see-through, pilling or size
  • Creators or trainers you have worked with
  • Ad spend by platform and by product

Selling in India and abroad

Selling activewear beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Local sizing in sports bras and leggings

US and UK buyers use different cup letters and numeric sizes than Indian charts. Charts for each country come from your garment measurements.

  2. Climate and season

A buyer in Canada wants thermal running wear in winter, while one in Dubai wants lightweight kit. Which markets suit your fabrics is decided from the overseas orders you already receive.

FAQ

Questions about selling activewear online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I show that my leggings are not see-through?
Photograph them stretched in a squat in daylight, in every colour that is light enough to worry about. Say what the fabric weight is. Buyers trust a picture of the worst case more than the word opaque.
Can I say my fabric improves performance?
Say what it is made of and what it does, such as quick-drying or four-way stretch. Do not claim it makes anyone run faster or burn more. Fabric and performance claims are checked with your adviser first.
Should I sell activewear to women only or to both?
Start with the group that already buys from you and has complaints and reviews you can learn from. A men’s range is a separate effort, with different fits and search terms.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
