GullySales

E-commerce · Clothing & Apparel

By the time the parcel arrives, the child has already grown out of it.

With children’s clothing the buyer is the parent and the wearer is a child who will not stand still for a measurement. The parent orders by age, finds that an age-three outfit fits like age two, and has no time to return it. They are also reading the label for fabric, stitching and anything that might irritate skin.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Children’s clothing e-commerce is the online sale of clothes for babies, toddlers and school-age children, bought by parents and relatives who choose by age, comfort and safety of fabric. GullySales works on age and growth guidance, on pages that answer a parent’s worries about fabric and fit, and on bringing parents back as the child moves up a size.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell children’s clothing online.

  • Kidswear brands selling baby and toddler clothing through their own store
  • Sellers of school uniforms and daily wear to parents rather than to schools
  • Boutiques selling festive and party wear for children
  • Organic and cotton-only baby clothing labels

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who cannot say what the fabric is or how the garment was made
  • Anyone who wants us to make safety or skin-comfort claims the product cannot back

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of children’s clothing.

  1. Age range and height together

Parents buy by age but check height and chest, because children of the same age vary. A page with only 2 to 3 years invites a guess.

  2. Fabric against the skin

Soft cotton, muslin and interlock for babies, and tags, seams and snap fasteners that will not scratch. Parents read the composition line and ask about dyes.

  3. Room to grow

Parents want to know whether it fits now and for how many months, and whether the sleeves or hem can be turned up.

  4. Sets, gifting and festival outfits

Relatives buy a set for a naming ceremony or Diwali, so a gift-ready pack and a delivery date matter more than the single item.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell children’s clothing online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Parents order two sizes and keep one”

They cannot test a fit on a child at the door, and the page gave only the age range. You pay for the second parcel.

  • “Festive outfits arrive after the occasion”

A buyer who ordered for a function and received it late will not buy from you for the next one. The delivery estimate on the page was a guess.

  • “Parents buy once and then go to a competitor when the child grows”

Nothing reminds them that the next size is in stock, while the child outgrows the last one every few months.

The scope

The work we would propose for children’s clothing.

Measured on purchases, conversion rate, cost to win a customer, average order value and repeat purchases. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for children’s clothing.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. An age, height and weight size guide

One table per brand range, with a plain note on how much room each style allows for growth.

  2. A fabric and safety information block

Composition, care and construction details for each style, such as flat seams or snap closures, so parents do not need to ask.

  3. A gift-pack page

Sets for naming ceremonies, festivals and birthdays, with gift wrapping, a message card and the last date to order.

  4. A next-size message plan

What a parent hears from you as the child grows, and which styles come with the message.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Average order value
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Return rate by age group

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your current age and size guide
  • Returns for kids by age group
  • Fabric details and care instructions for your bestsellers
  • Dispatch times to your top cities
  • Previous festive-season campaigns and what they sold

Selling in India and abroad

Selling children’s clothing beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Grandparents ordering from abroad

Many overseas orders are from relatives sending outfits to children in India, or families abroad buying ethnic wear for festivals. Delivery dates and gift notes are the deciding details.

  2. Ages, sizes and winter

US and UK children’s sizing runs by age in different ways and by season. Charts for each market come from your garment measurements, and winter clothing is a separate range for those buyers.

FAQ

Questions about selling children’s clothing online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I help parents choose the right age size?
Give height, chest and weight along with the age, and say plainly if a style runs small. Parents use the height line more than the age. Photographs of the garment on a flat surface with a ruler also help.
Should I sell school uniforms online?
Only if the school lets parents buy from you or you can match the school’s pattern and colour exactly. A mismatch ends the relationship. Where a school has a tie-up with another vendor, kidswear for daily wear is the safer line.
Can I say my baby clothes are safe for sensitive skin?
Say what the fabric and dye actually are, and nothing beyond that. Any claim about skin safety is checked against your test records and with your adviser before it goes on the page.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
