E-commerce · Fashion Accessories

A tie is bought for a day: an interview, a wedding, a corporate event.

Few people shop for a tie when they do not have somewhere to go. The need is dated and specific: a campus placement, a cousin's wedding, a board meeting on Friday. The listing has to tell them whether this tie will arrive in time, and whether it goes with a navy suit.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Ties e-commerce is the online sale of neckties, bow ties, pocket squares, cufflink sets and gift boxes, bought for work, weddings and gifting. GullySales works on how your listings state width, length and fabric, how buyers find the right tie for the occasion, and how corporate and group orders reach you as quotations.

There is a smaller second market in uniforms and corporate gifting, where a school, bank or hotel buys hundreds, asks for a custom woven logo and expects a quote, not a basket.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell ties online.

  • Menswear brands selling ties, bow ties and pocket squares as a set
  • Silk and woven tie makers who want direct online buyers
  • Uniform and corporate gifting suppliers taking logo tie orders
  • Sellers of wedding sets who bundle ties with cufflinks and handkerchiefs

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who cannot promise a delivery date for wedding and event orders
  • A supplier of branded-logo ties for a school or company who cannot show past work

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of ties.

  1. Width, length and the knot

Slim, standard, extra long, a ready-made knot or a pre-tied bow. A buyer who is tall or has a thick neck looks at length in centimetres before anything else.

  2. Fabric and weave

Silk, microfibre, polyester, linen, a knitted tie. Wedding buyers want sheen, office buyers want something that does not crease, and both look for how it looks under daylight.

  3. Colour against the suit

Navy suit, grey suit, black suit. Buyers search by what the tie has to match, and a page that shows the tie against two or three jackets answers it.

  4. Occasion and date

A job interview or a wedding sets a hard date. The buyer checks the dispatch time and the return terms before paying.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell ties online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “The tie arrives after the event”

A late wedding or interview order is a lost customer and a one-star review. If the page does not say when the order will arrive, the buyer assumes it will be late and leaves.

  • “Buyers cannot tell cheap polyester from silk”

Every listing says silk finish, satin finish, premium. Reviews that say it creased or looked shiny under a flash drive buyers to the next seller.

  • “Bulk enquiries for a custom logo tie get a price and no follow-up”

The buyer is a school office or HR department with a budget cycle. They need artwork, a sample and an approval, and a one-line quote on WhatsApp goes nowhere.

The scope

The work we would propose for ties.

Measured on purchases, conversion rate, cost to win a customer, average order value and repeat purchases. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for ties.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A match-your-suit colour guide

A page that suggests ties for navy, grey and black suits and shirts, linking to the pieces in stock.

  2. An event-date delivery promise

A cut-off calendar for weddings and festival gifting, shown at checkout so a buyer knows if the tie will arrive in time.

  3. A corporate order request form

Fields for quantity, logo file, colour, tie style and delivery date, plus a reply that sends a sample and a proof.

  4. A gift set page

A tie, pocket square and cufflink set shown together with one price and one box.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Average order value
  • Return rate
  • Corporate quotations requested
  • Corporate orders won

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your tie and set range with width, length and fabric
  • Orders from the last wedding and festive season, with delivery times
  • Examples of corporate or uniform tie work you have done
  • Reviews and returns that mention colour, fabric or late delivery
  • Recent spend on ads and what it sold

Selling in India and abroad

Selling ties beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Length and width in a second system

Buyers in the UK and the US compare ties in inches and by blade width, and a tall buyer looks for extra-long. Show both measures.

  2. Weddings and corporate orders from overseas

A groom's family abroad may order matching ties for a wedding in India, which is a delivery-date job. Corporate buyers outside India are a quotation job, so start from the orders you already have.

FAQ

Questions about selling ties online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I sell ties online when buyers want to see the fabric?
Show the weave in daylight and say what the fabric is, in plain words. Add a short clip of the tie being held and folded. A buyer will accept polyester sold as polyester.
Can I take custom logo tie orders from my store?
Use a separate quote page, not the cart. A school or company wants a proof and a sample first. We build the form and the follow-up so a quote does not sit unanswered.
What should I do before wedding season?
Put delivery cut-off dates on the page and plan ads weeks ahead, in the cities where wedding orders came from last year. Do not advertise ties you cannot ship in time.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
