E-commerce · Industrial Equipment & Supplies

Nobody buys a machine from a page, but plenty drop you after reading one.

Machinery is a big purchase for a small factory. The owner is often the buyer, and the decision takes weeks, with a visit to a working installation before any money moves. What the web does is build the shortlist, and your page is either on it or not.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Machinery e-commerce is the selling of lathes, presses, packing lines, compressors and similar plant equipment, where the buyer shortlists online and decides after a visit or a demonstration. GullySales builds the model pages that get you shortlisted, and tracks each enquiry through the demonstration to the purchase order.

Most machinery pages show a photograph and three lines. The owner wants capacity per hour, motor rating, floor space, who services it in their town, and a video of it running.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell machinery online.

  • Machine builders selling standard models such as packing, bottling, extrusion or CNC machines
  • Authorised dealers who demonstrate and install a principal's range
  • Sellers of reconditioned or used machines who need buyers to trust the listing
  • Compressor, generator and pump sellers whose buyer asks for a site visit first

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Builders who make one custom line a year, mostly through existing relationships. A website will not change how those orders arrive.
  • Sellers who cannot arrange a demonstration or a reference visit. Without one, serious buyers will not close.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of machinery.

  1. Output and power first

A buyer compares capacity per hour, motor kilowatts, whether it runs on single or three phase, and the floor space it needs. If those are missing from the page, they assume the machine is not right for them.

  2. The video of it running

Owners trust footage of the machine working on a product like theirs more than a brochure. They also look for the noise, the operator's position, and the scrap at the end of the run.

  3. Service in my town

Before price, they ask who will come when it stops and how long spare parts take. A machine without a visible service answer loses to a dearer one that has it.

  4. Reference visit and trial

The deciding step is often visiting a customer's shop floor or sending their own material for a trial run. Your page should offer both.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell machinery online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Buyers ask for the price and disappear”

A machine price depends on options, voltage and accessories, so a blind quote looks either high or incomplete. A short configuration form makes the quotation specific, and the buyer answers it.

  • “Our model names mean nothing to anyone searching”

Buyers search for what the machine does, such as a semi-automatic pouch sealing machine, not for your model code. Pages must carry both.

  • “We demonstrate, then the buyer goes quiet for weeks”

Long decisions are normal here, and the danger is silence. A dated follow-up after the demonstration and again after the buyer's budget approval keeps you in the room.

  • “Used machine buyers do not trust listings”

They want the year, hours run, service history and photographs of the nameplate. Missing details make a genuine machine look like a trap.

What we do

What you get for machinery.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A model comparison table

Your models side by side by capacity and power. It lets the buyer find the right size without calling, and stops enquiries for the wrong machine.

  2. A machine configuration form

Asks product, volume, voltage, and optional extras. Your quote is then right the first time.

  3. A service coverage page

Cities where you or a partner can attend a breakdown, and the spare parts you hold. It answers the question buyers ask before price.

  4. A used machine listing format

A fixed layout for year, hours, condition, photographs of the nameplate and inspection offer, so listings read as honest.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified enquiries
  • Quotation requests
  • Demonstrations booked
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • Orders won
  • Repeat orders and spare parts orders

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Model list with capacity, power and dimensions
  • Running videos or the means to film one
  • A list of installed sites you can name
  • Your service and spare parts arrangement city by city
  • Last year's enquiries and which led to a demonstration

Selling in India and abroad

Selling machinery beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Voltage and phase

A machine built for 415 volt three phase may need a different motor or control panel abroad. Buyers ask first, so the page says what you supply.

  2. Installation and commissioning

An overseas buyer wants to know who will install it and train the operators. If you send an engineer, say so. If a local partner does it, name them.

FAQ

Questions about selling machinery online.

Do I put machine prices on my website?
Usually a starting price or a range is better than nothing, as it filters out buyers who cannot afford the machine. The reason is wasted demonstrations. If options change the price a lot, say what they are.
How do I rank for a machine type like 'automatic bottle filling machine'?
Make a page for that exact machine, and write capacity, bottle sizes and the liquids it handles. Then add a video. Your model code can sit alongside, but the page name should be what a buyer would say.
Is it worth listing used machinery online?
Yes, if you can show year, hours and nameplate photographs and allow an inspection. Buyers have been burnt by vague listings. The honest detail is your edge over a dealer who posts one photograph.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
