Learners buy fluency but what they need is somebody to speak with.
A language is the one subject where the learner knows at once if the teaching is working, because they either say a sentence or they do not. People drop out of language courses faster than from most others, and the reason is nearly always the same: they spent an hour listening and five minutes speaking.
A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.
In one paragraph
Language courses teach a spoken or written language, from English and Hindi to German, French, Japanese and Kannada, through live classes, recorded lessons or one-to-one sessions. GullySales works on level placement, the trial class and the speaking practice that decide whether a learner enrols and whether they are still learning in the third month.
So a language course page has to say how much of each class the learner speaks, in what size of group and to whom. That is the claim buyers test, and the trial class is where they test it.

Who it is for
This is written for you if you sell language courses online.
- Language schools adding online batches for English, German, French, Japanese or Spanish
- Individual tutors teaching spoken English, Hindi or Kannada on video
- Teachers of Indian languages for children of families living abroad
- Exam preparation providers for language tests
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- A course that promises fluency in a set number of weeks. Nobody can promise that, and learners who believe it leave angry.
- Exam preparation that promises a score or a visa. We will not write it.
How buyers choose
What decides the sale of language courses.
Level, in words the learner understands
A beginner and someone who studied the language at school need different batches. A short placement test or a question on the form puts them in the right one, and the level names on the page should be explained plainly.
Speaking time and batch size
The buyer asks how many learners share a class and how long each one speaks. Eight in a batch against twenty is the difference between practice and a lecture.
The teacher's own language
Some learners want a native speaker for pronunciation, and others want an Indian teacher who knows where Indians struggle with the language. Say which you have, with a short clip of the voice.
Why now
Few people study a language for fun on a whim. It is a move abroad, a job needing English, a child's admission or a spouse's family, and the page should name the reason it was written for.
Where sales are lost
What usually goes wrong when you sell language courses online.
In the words sellers use on the first call.
“Learners sign up and disappear after three classes”
A learner who has not spoken in the first week feels foolish and quits. A first class where everyone says something, and a message from the teacher after, bring them to the next.
“Parents want their child to learn but the child will not attend”
The buyer is the parent and the learner is the child. The trial class has to work for the child, in a game or a story, and the parent needs to see progress in a short note.
“We cannot tell a beginner from an intermediate on the phone”
Wrong placement is the main cause of dropout and refunds. A five-minute speaking check before the first class prevents it.
“Our exam preparation batch fills only before the exam”
Buyers start late, since they put it off. Pages and messages that build early, with a mock test, move the date at which people sign up.
The scope
The work we would propose for language courses.
Measured on trials, paid conversions, retention and churn. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.
- Level and course pagesA page per language and level, naming who it is for, how many learners share a batch and how much of the class is speaking, with a sample audio clip of the teacher.
- Trial class and placementA booking form that asks the learner's reason, earlier study and available hours, followed by a short speaking check so they are placed correctly.
- Search content in the learner's own languagePages that answer searches such as learning German for beginners or spoken English for a job interview, written plainly and with a sample lesson.
- Short videos of teachingShort clips of the teacher correcting a common mistake, since a language learner judges the teacher's way of speaking before anything else.
- Reminders and progress notesWhatsApp reminders before each class, a short note after the first week and a progress message that a parent or employer can read.
What we do
What you get for language courses.
Each deliverable and what it is there to change.
A level guide
Each level in plain words with an example of what a learner can say. It cuts wrong placement, which is behind many refunds.
A trial class script
A plan for the first class that makes every learner speak. It is what turns a trial into a booking.
A teacher page with audio
A short bio and a recording of the teacher speaking. A buyer judges the voice in ten seconds.
A progress note for parents or employers
A brief written update on what the learner can now do. It supports renewal when someone else pays.
How the result is measured
- Trial class bookings
- Trial class attendance
- Paid enrolments
- Attendance after the third class
- Completion of the level
- Re-enrolment into the next level
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Selling in India and abroad
Selling language courses beyond your own market.
Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.
Indian-language classes for families abroad
Families in the Gulf, the United Kingdom and North America look for Kannada, Tamil, Hindi or Malayalam classes for their children. The class hour has to suit their evening, which is your morning or afternoon.
Foreign learners of Indian languages
A smaller group of non-Indians want Hindi or Sanskrit. They respond to a clear level system, a transliteration option and a trial class.
Payment in the learner's currency
Overseas learners pay in their own money and need a plan with a stated cancellation policy. How tax applies is for your accountant.

Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
