Parents buy the school list in one weekend, and we are not on it.

School supplies are bought against a list. A parent receives a sheet from the class teacher, goes through it line by line and wants every item in one order, the right brand where the list names one. A seller whose listing does not match the list loses the whole basket, not one item.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

School supplies online are the geometry boxes, pencil cases, crayons, lunch-time accessories, exercise books and kits that a school asks for at the start of the year, bought mostly by parents working from a printed list. GullySales works on how your kits match the lists schools send, how the rush before reopening is planned, and how teachers and schools are reached for larger orders.

The season is short and certain. Everything that matters happens in the weeks before and after the school year opens, and a stock-out then cannot be recovered.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell school supplies online.

  • Sellers of ready-made school kits and class-wise supply bundles
  • Brands selling geometry boxes, pencil boxes, bags and lunch accessories
  • Wholesalers and distributors who also supply schools and tuition centres
  • Sellers of art and craft items for school projects
  • Local stationers who want to sell by post beyond their neighbourhood

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who cannot hold stock for the school reopening and the weeks after it
  • Anyone who will not promise the delivery date they publish

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of school supplies.

  1. The class-wise list

Parents search by class and board, such as a class 4 stationery kit, and compare it to the sheet in their hand. If an item is missing, they buy the kit elsewhere.

  2. Safe and age-suitable

Round-tip scissors for small children, non-toxic crayons, a compass that does not fall apart. Parents of younger children read what the pencil box is made of.

  3. Delivery before school opens

A kit that arrives after the first week fails the buyer, so the last date to order and the delivery promise are part of the buying decision.

  4. School approval

Some schools name brands, colours and sizes. Others forbid certain items. The buyer wants to know the kit follows the list the school gave.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell school supplies online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Parents say the kit was missing something”

The class list changed after the kit was made, or the kit never listed what was inside. The return reason says kit incomplete, and that is a listing problem.

  • “We get orders in a rush and cannot pack them”

A few days produce more orders than the rest of the quarter, and late dispatch becomes a one-star review.

  • “Schools ask us for quantities and we have no way to quote”

A school or tuition centre wants a price for a few hundred items by a date. A cart cannot do that.

What we do

What you get for school supplies.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A class-wise kit map

Each class and board with the items, brands and quantities, kept in one sheet that feeds the pages and the packing team.

  2. A last order date for each kit

Printed on the page and in ads, so the delivery promise matches what dispatch can really do.

  3. A parent checklist page

A printable list a parent can compare with the school's sheet, with a button to add the whole kit.

  4. A school quotation pack

A template with item rates and quantity tiers, and a sample kit offer for a school's staff.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases and conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Average order value
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Return rate
  • School quotation requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your kits and what each contains
  • Sales by week across the last school season
  • Returns and complaints about missing items
  • Any school or tuition centre you already supply
  • Dispatch capacity at the busiest point of the season

Selling in India and abroad

Selling school supplies beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Indian curriculum schools abroad

Families in the Gulf and elsewhere whose children follow an Indian board look for class-wise kits and Indian textbooks and stationery. Local selling, through a partner with stock in the country, usually fits better than cross-border parcels.

  2. Different school years

School terms begin in different months in different countries, so the season you plan around is that of the buyer's school.

FAQ

Questions about selling school supplies online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should I sell ready-made kits or single items?
Both. Kits win parents who want the list done in one click, and single items catch people filling a gap. The kit has to be written from the school's own lists, or it sells nothing.
How do I handle the rush before schools open?
Set a last order date from your dispatch capacity, not from the calendar, and stop ads when you reach it. A late kit costs more in reviews than a missed order costs in sales.
Can I sell to schools directly?
Yes, if you can quote item-wise rates and deliver the quantity on a fixed date. Schools decide through the principal or an office head, so the first sample and the follow-up matter more than an advertisement.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
