Educational institutions · Buyer persona

Name who decides the admission, who pays the fee and who only visits the campus.

A buyer persona for a school or institute is a written profile of the person who chooses the seat, and that person differs for a pre-school parent, a Class 11 student and a working adult taking a skill course. GullySales builds the profiles from your own admission records and desk conversations, then shapes pages, replies and follow-up around them.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For educational institutions

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The chooser and the payer may be two people”

In a pre-school one parent researches and the other approves the fee. For a degree course the student shortlists and a guardian signs. Writing both down tells the desk whom to address on the call and whom to invite to the campus tour.

  • “A coaching aspirant and the parent worry about different things”

The student asks about faculty and the test series. The parent asks about hostel safety and fee instalments. A brochure that answers one and ignores the other loses the household to an institute that answers both.

  • “Your last admissions are the first personas”

The admission register shows who actually joined: board, locality, how they heard of you and who paid. Grouping those families into a few profiles is more reliable than copying a template from another trade.

  • “A working adult and a school-leaver do not read the same page”

A skill-training enquiry from a working adult turns on evening batches, instalments and whether employers accept the certificate. A school-leaver's family asks about affiliation and campus life. One page for both answers neither.

What we do

What we deliver for educational institutions.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A persona sheet for each programme

One page per programme, such as pre-primary, Class 11 science or a diploma, naming the chooser, the payer, their worries and the questions asked on the first call.

Result: The desk knows whom it is speaking to before the second question.

  2. A review of past admissions with your desk

We sit with the register and group enrolled families by board, locality, source and who made the decision.

Result: The profiles rest on your records, not on assumptions.

  3. A bank of questions in families' own words

The questions parents and students ask on calls and chats, written down as they say them and sorted by persona.

Result: Pages and replies use the words your families type.

  4. A message map for each persona

The first things to say on the phone, on the website and during the campus tour, set out for each profile.

Result: Anyone at the desk gives the same opening answer.

  5. A persona field in the enquiry log

One field in the callback log that records which profile an enquiry matches.

Result: You can count which profile actually enrols.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How many personas does a school need?
One for each distinct way a family arrives, and no more than the desk can remember. A pre-primary parent, a mid-year transfer and a scholarship applicant ask different things. Start with the groups your register already shows.
Do we profile individual children?
No. A persona describes a group of families, not a named child. Use admission records for patterns such as board and locality, and keep a child's details out of marketing unless consent was collected. Ask your own legal adviser about handling children's data.
Does a persona change with the admission season?
Yes. A February pre-school enquiry comes under deadline pressure, while a result-season coaching enquiry comes with an anxious student. We note the season on each persona so the reply matches the moment.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
