ICSE schools · Buyer persona

Describe the families who choose your school, in words your office can use.

A buyer persona for an ICSE school is a written picture of the kinds of parent who enquire, what each worries about and what they need to hear. GullySales builds it from your own admission files and conversations, not from guesses.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For ICSE schools

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The parent who studied ICSE”

This parent remembers the English teaching and the project work and wants the same for the child. They look for continuity and ask about teachers, the library and how literature is taught. They need to see classrooms, not a fee list.

  • “The family new to the city”

Posted here for work, they know the board from home and want it here. They search by locality, ask about mid-session entry and need a clear answer on seats, documents and transport.

  • “The family leaving another board”

A child is in Class 7 or 8 elsewhere and the parents worry about the gap. They want to speak to a senior teacher and hear how a newcomer is supported without promises about marks.

  • “The grandparent who pays or decides”

In some families a grandparent chooses the school or pays the fee. They may not search online at all. They respond to a visit, a letter from the principal and a person who greets them by name.

What we do

What we deliver for ICSE schools.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Persona write-ups

One page for each family type, covering what they ask, what they fear and what the office should say.

Result: The office has a written description for each type of enquirer.

  2. Interviews with recent admissions

Conversations with parents who joined recently, with their agreement, on how they chose.

Result: The personas rest on what parents actually said.

  3. Questions by persona

A list of the questions each family asks, with an approved answer drafted for each.

Result: A front-desk person answers the same question the same way.

  4. Pages matched to persona

A decision on which page or message each family type should meet first.

Result: Every persona has a first page that fits its worry.

  5. A review of the admission file

A look at past enquiry records to find which types of family join and which drop away.

Result: The school knows where families leave the process.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these ICSE schools.

  • Long-established ICSE day schools run by a society or a church
  • ICSE schools with ISC classes for Class 11 and 12
  • ICSE schools for boys or for girls only
  • ICSE residential and boarding schools
  • Newer private ICSE schools in growing suburbs
  • ICSE schools run by a community trust
  • ICSE schools attached to a larger educational group
  • ICSE schools with a strong sports or arts programme

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we build a persona without data?
Start with what the office has heard from parents, then check it against your admission file. Where a record is missing, mark the persona as a draft.
How many personas should a school have?
Enough to separate families who need different answers, commonly three or four. Add another only when it changes what the school says or does.
Do personas include the child?
Include the child's entry class and current board, because they change the questions. Keep personal details of any real family out of the document.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
