Management colleges · Buyer persona

Know who is choosing, who is paying and what each of them fears.

A buyer persona for a management college is a written profile of a type of candidate or payer, built from what admissions hears on calls and sees in applications. GullySales builds these profiles from your own records, so pages and messages speak to the person who decides.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For management colleges

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The candidate and the payer are different people”

The candidate worries about the specialisation and the placement route. The parent worries about total cost and safety. A page that addresses only one leaves the other unconvinced, and the unconvinced one may be the person holding the money.

  • “The final-year engineer holds a score and a deadline”

This candidate has a CAT, MAT or CMAT score, a campus placement offer or the lack of one, and several colleges on a list. They want eligibility, fee and recruiters in one place, and they compare the colleges in the evening on a phone.

  • “The working professional buys time and an employer's view”

This buyer asks about timetable, the cohort's seniority and whether the employer will reimburse the fee. They want to speak to the programme head, and an enquiry form feels too slow for them. A page for this buyer shows the timetable first and the programme head's name beside it.

  • “The school leaver choosing a BBA decides with the family”

After Class 12 the choice is shared. The student reads about campus life and the parents read about approvals, fee and the route into an MBA later. Two readers bring two sets of questions to one shared decision, and each needs a page that answers theirs.

What we do

What we deliver for management colleges.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Persona sheets for each programme

One page per buyer type lists situation, questions, worries, where they search and who influences the decision.

Result: Admissions and marketing work from the same written profile.

  2. A question list from real calls

Admissions staff note the first three questions asked on calls, and these are grouped under each persona.

Result: The questions come from the college's own enquiries.

  3. A decision-trigger map

For each persona, a map shows what prompts the search, what shortlists a college and what ends the comparison.

Result: You can see which moment each message should meet.

  4. An objections sheet

Common worries, such as fee, approvals and placement, are listed with an honest answer approved by your office.

Result: Every caller hears the same accurate answer.

  5. Message guides for each persona

Short notes set the tone, the proof to show and the page to link for each type of buyer.

Result: Writers and callers know what to say to whom.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these management colleges.

  • PGDM institutes run by a trust
  • MBA departments inside a university
  • Autonomous business schools attached to an engineering college
  • BBA and BMS colleges feeding into an MBA
  • Executive and weekend MBA programmes for working professionals
  • Colleges with specialisations in HR, finance, marketing or business analytics
  • Business schools with a strong family-business or entrepreneurship stream
  • Newer management colleges still building a recruiter list

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where does the persona information come from?
From your application records, call notes and the questions admissions hears. We do not invent traits or use general statistics, and we ask your team to correct the sheets as they learn more.
How large should the persona set be?
One for each buyer that behaves differently and needs a different page or call. For a college like yours that means a graduate candidate, a working professional, a school leaver with parents and the person who pays.
Do personas replace talking to candidates?
No. They record what you have already learned from talking to candidates. Keep adding to them from every cycle, and drop any line that real calls do not support.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
